We are super hyped to present the 69th edition featuring a super special mix featuring 100% self-produced tunes with a ton of unreleased goodies in bw’s usual unrelenting & captivating groovy style! 

As a producer, bw’s zestful tracks are cooked with the minimum elements, being sure each one brings the maximum to the result: driving grooves, swinging vocals and haunting melodies, all melted with a unique and sexy captivating touch, already enjoyed by artists such as MARRØN, Kr!z, Dustin Zahn, Volster, Norman Nodge, Matrixxman or Arnaud Le Texier, to name a few. His way of understanding techno is colourful, varied and, thanks to that, much more expressive.
bw has been into techno as a clubber and DJ even before he moved from Argentina to Europe many years ago. In the last years he found his way into production without a rush and took the time to properly learn how he wanted his music to sound, even though it is a never ending improvement path.

In the last two years, counting from 2020, his self-released EPs quickly led to Gazes EP on Secession Records. Also, many bw’s tracks have recently appeared in several VAs from labels around the globe: Malör (Berlin), Different Sound (Tbilisi), B55 (Mexico) and E-HZRN (Miami). You can also expect a single coming soon in Dust Trax (Barcelona), a city where bw has also lived, even though he's now based in Munich (of course, he has also spent quite a long time in Berlin).

bw is currently active in the local queer and techno community in Munich, and BALLS is his most recently created project: a sound plataform to share like-minded artists’ work, a future record label and an event concept that will sooner or later make a noisy and sweaty debut.

Between new techno stuffs but also old school and classic techno, driving rhythms, and trippy stuffs, and some emotional trancy tracks which are special to my eyes. I hope you will like it as much as I enjoyed to play there. Fusion best festival ever! Forever in my heart <3

A look back at Philippa Pacho’s profound performance in our Room 01 at the positivesource showcase, which she co-founded hand in hand with Blue Hour. The Stockholm-born artist delivered a knife-edged vision to techno during a two-hour memorable set at her imprint night in Fuse.
 
Like a gentle hold, Philippa's narration is as tactile as poignant. Dark without being obscure, musing yet energetic, no one can doubt the decade of musicality that has flowed through her veins ever since. Drawn to sharp kicks or a few clipped vocals here and there, Philippa Pacho's mix is an invitation, or even more an exploration, to a complex and appealing inner world. A stand-out.

Philippa Pacho — Recorded live at Fuse Brussels (16/09/23)

For my return to Open Ground, I had the idea to record my full set and post it online. Nothing can really describe that club, the sound system, the room accoustics, the way everything has been designed just breathes passion and dedication. Just amazing crew and always a treat to come back there.
The vibe there was absolutely amazing, and I guess you really just have to experience it on the spot to really get what it's like. 

But yea, here's the 3h30 journey we've embarked on there this 8th May, and I hope you enjoy it !

For BASEMENT 008, we've turned things over to Holden Federico.   A favorite of the NY underground, Federico holds a reputation both for his comprehensive knowledge of techno's most obscure corners and for his capacity to channel his sprawling collection into DJ sets of exceptional poise and vibrancy. Raised in Pennsylvania, an early fascination with software production led him from live music into an obsession with track building and the limitless possibilities of electronic music. In 2020, he launched @90stechno.redux, an online platform that catalogues some of the finest, and often nearly-unheard, examples of the genre's golden age. Drawing heavily on the Detroit-Berlin axis, Federico exemplifies the focus and discernment of a purist, engaging with techno both as a true art form and as a near-spiritual discipline.

Sounds from Beyond the Seven Lands is a boundary-pushing compilation uniting 16 visionary Hungarian techno producers, each shaping the local underground through their own distinct sonic lens. The title takes inspiration from Hungarian folklore, where “beyond the seven lands” evokes a gateway into tales of wonder and mystery, a fitting metaphor for the immersive soundscapes unfolding here.

From hypnotic grooves and driving rhythms to raw, textured explorations, this V/A highlights the diversity and vitality of Hungary’s underground. Each track feels like a passage through unseen terrains, bound together by a shared spirit of innovation and cultural resonance.

Our third Podcast is composed by Nur Jaber, originally coming from the beautiful yet troubled homeland of Beirut, Lebanon. The cultural experiences have without a doubt inspired and enriched her music and she is in a continuous quest of always having deeper messages and meanings in her magical trips in waveform. She gained a plethora of valuable experiences at Boston’s Berklee College of Music over the summers, while growing up playing the drums and bass guitar. 
When behind the decks and creating electronic music, she captures her audience with emotional and energetic productions as well as musically varied, journey-like DJ sets that hold no genre limitations, which are making the crowd equally dream and sweat.
The last few years have certainly been busy for this Berlin resident.
She continues to grow as a DJ and artist, playing some shows with live vocals over her DJ sets wold wide in venues like Berghain and De School.
