Addiction. Its a word with mostly sinister connotations, but for Glenn Molloy, it was his addiction to music that makes him feel alive. “I’ve always liked music.” He says, “As a child, once I realised I got goosebumps and spine tingles from listening to loud music I became immersed.” It’s a tale as old as the hills but something that bands DJs from all walks of life together: that epiphany moment. Nothing can quench the desire to search for all the music they find, always looking for the next fix; the perfect beat, the warmth of a pad, the thrill of a joyous piano line.   Formulating his tastes on The Prodigy, Shades of Rhythm and Altern-8 courtesy of his older brothers rave tape collection, he became fascinated by early progressive house and began to collect the Renaissance and Global Underground CDs.Growing up in Blanchardstown, Glenn wasn’t far from the 24/7 action of Dublin. It was there his fascination with dance music took hold completely at clubs like Redbox watching John Digweed weave his dystopian tale, or The Village, where Darren Emerson would destroy the dancefloor. Leading on of course to finding out about secret afterparties, and finally, commanding the room himself at a memorial night for a fallen friend.   Residencies followed and Glenn built a good name for himself in the city. Now developing a club night with fellow Dubliners Soulfinder, Gerard Bozyk, and Khankra called Fusion Underground, his ambition grows. With influences as disparate as Sasha, Rodriguez Jr., Super Flu and Carl Cox, his style is an amalgam of melodic house and tough tech flavours that he splits between his Glenn Molloy and Gorgonoize aliases. Production continues to be his biggest adventure to date. After some masterclasses with local hero, Will Kinsella (Hybrasil), Glenn now has tracks signed to Circus ,Perfecto, Asymmetric, Pro B Tech, Arrvl, with upcoming releases on Mirabilis and more. more recently his productions have been played and supported by scene heavyweights, such as Nick Muir ,Hernan Cattaneo, Luke Brancaccio, Dj Ruby.  Looking forward to the future, Glenn is ready to take that next step in his artistic development and play internationally pushing on with bigger and better events and growing his own night into something memorable. BSV: Hello broski! Such a pleasure to have you here. Welcome to the crew of visionaries!
PETER PORTMAN: Hi @beatsoundvisions team! Thanks for having me on this episode. Winter just kicked in, I brought you some tunes to warm up a little bit!

BSV: This recording is a “hell of a job”. Where on earth do you find these tracks?
PETER PORTMAN: Thanks for kind words, yes I do a lot of digging, from promo pools from email over listening tracks from the sets, I think the urge to discover new tunes keeps me digging deeper than usual, and after all this is our job, right? 

BSV: You had China tour at the end of September. How was that experience?
PETER PORTMAN: The China tour was really above expectations. Even though it was for their holidays where everyone traveled domestic, or international. I think I've managed to feel the true vibe of the country. Food was awesome too! Once again big thanks to my team Uros & Leo for making it happen!

BSV: Munich, Paris, London, New York… We dance… Which scene is your favourite?
PETER PORTMAN: Every scene has its own charm, really depends on the mood and also culture. Personally or from my point of view  however you want to call it... Letting loose without phones and enjoying the moment itself.

BSV: People that follow you know that you like to experiment with sound and that you are not limited by particular genre. Are you able to describe your frequencies?
PETER PORTMAN: Sometimes I do find it difficult explaining myself, really it's up to reading the room, the crowd, and the mood I am currently in. As I said above I try to listen to as much as possible a wide variety of the music (also non electronic) so I can try to bring together into one unique frequency.  I think you just need to have patience and to be there when magic happens.

BSV: The wonderkid of Serbian electronic music scene, can we call you like that?
PETER PORTMAN: /

BSV: Do you believe in magic while playing Romanian minimal? 
PETER PORTMAN: I think I don't see myself as a Rominimal DJ at all. I am A DJ, and  music in general is magic and it can be both healing or damaging.

Radeus is an electronic music DJ based in Lublin, Poland. Becoming interested in electronic sounds in the 90s, he took his first steps into mixing music back in 2001. Musically his greatest affection are progressive sounds with deep, melodic feel. His mixing style is characterized by long, mesmerizing transitions and electrifying breakdowns. BSV: Hello there and thanks for the submission! How did you find us? Google of your “Resilient” track maybe? 😉
ES.KA: I know your channel for a long time since we are supporting each other and l thought it would be a great opportunity to promote new project “Above Us“ 🙂

BSV: From progressive to melodic techno, from dark to hard techno. What’s your range in electronic music?
ES.KA: For my single project it’s something between melodic techno and peak time techno. Above Us aims for a more melodic and deeper sound like I used to play some years ago.

BSV: If we listen your production, it translates into “Eyes Wide Shut” feeling (sounds from the movie). That was your goal?
ES.KA: /

BSV: Tell us something about Illusions @ Haus33. What’s the concept?
ES.KA: Illusions is a melodic techno / peak time techno event which distinguish itself from other events at Haus33 by sticking to slower styles of techno instead of playing mostly hard techno like other events do.  

BSV: We found the info on Beatport about your first ever track (2021). How did you get in electronic music? When was that?
ES.KA: I started DJing 6 years ago in melodic and deep techno genre. In 2021 I decided that I want to make my own music which I can perform in clubs.

BSV: What’s behind your DJ duo artist name (meaning)?
ES.KA: It conveys the meaning that the music is always above us. We found that it has a good sound to it and we we're aiming for a two word name.

BSV: Is there maybe some interesting story about how you guys decided to do music together? Let us know about your long term goals…
ES.KA: The funny thing is that we know each other since we were kids. Didn't have contact at all for about 25 years and figured out that we are both into electronic music. Each of us in own project. So we decided to create something together. Long term goals would be getting in touch and getting collabs with more established artists and playing more shows.
