Bad_Mix Mentindo para um computador EP

Samuel Malbon a.k.a. "Bad_Mix" is a reference as a producer, songwriter, DJ and is now the author of our 11th release. Between smoky jams with lots of synths and drum machines, he produced this EP which shows much of his versatility and personality. He is also one of the founders of "Caldo", a street party, and the nucleus "Obra" - and now he brings all of his musical baggage to our label.

“Mentindo para um Computador” (Lying to a Computer) is a collection of three tracks that feature variations of acid house, breakbeat and dub. Through spacial atmospheres and broken beats, Bad_Mix brings an acidity not only to the tones and also to the album's theme as a whole.

Underneath unlimited filters and exposure, we live in a time where the truth doesn't matter and lies do more than break hearts. We look in a mirror and don't perceive ourselves as who we really are or could be. Lying to a Computer is about lying to yourself.

My name is Yuri, I represent the project @monotonne_band and the track WL, which was made specially for the compilation, it is called ZSU by Mystictrax label. 
In my track I wanted to reflect my feeling on the conditions in which many of Ukrainians got into, who do not feel well, live in nervous tension, make difficult decisions since the beginning of large-scale war. 
The siren, which periodically sounds in my track, became a catalyst for significant changes. Even for those who perceive it as an ordinary everyday situation. When we do not have rockets, we often ignore the signals. We drink coffee, take walks with our pets, go to the stores under the accompaniment of sirens. But it is also a traumatic trigger for many people whose lives have been tragically changed. 
When i worked on this track, I wanted to focus on providing a no fly-zone over Ukraine, as to prevent it from russian air-strikes.

Acid Waxa are thrilled to present the latest release from Joe Howe, whose previous incarnations include Ben Butler & Mousepad, Germlin and Sunbutler (with Momus). On his second long player for the label, the Scottish producer, sound-artist and composer ventures out onto a more upbeat, piano-laden affair, which is the direct result of installing both acoustic and electronic pianos at his home studio in Glasgow. Rhythmically speaking, Wyped Out finds Howe stepping out into more breakbeat territory, while continuing with the fun and frenzied KPM-esque, library music laughs of his last long player (Plastic Thought). The new record also sees a welcomed collaboration by way of the Tokyo based producer and artist Ryota Miyake, whose expressive MIDI voicing and glassy FM synthesis can be heard giving light and shade to Joe’s tough electro beat on ‘Plug’. The cherry on the cake then is Josh Aitken’s playful and inspired animations and album artwork, which depicts a seemingly innocent home office bod being terrorized by various bugs, viruses and digital demons.

All tracks written and produced by Joe Howe, except for ‘Plug’ which was co-written and produced with Ryota Miyake. Wyped Out uses the Ben Aqua "No Reverb™ method (except when it doesn’t)
