Melody by name and by nature this podcast is from the wonderful RA+RE Records DJ resident, she is a regular customer of the Parisian scene and more recently pre covid across Europe. 

Melody constantly looks for the perfect groove. 

Her style oscillates between breakbeat house and experimental techno and this podcast showcases just that.

Pokédex Vol. 2 / Back Lighting

I know we say this almost every week, but for our next edition of Trommel InSession we have something very special for you. The moniker Respond/React might be new but it is comprised of three artists that are certainly not new to the scene. Artists Man/Ipulate, Massaï, and Lamalice will no doubt conjure up lengthy Sentaku parties helmed by their founders and regulars that have helped the Parisian / London based label and event series to flourish. The ethos of the triple trouble combo offers fresh perspective in the relationship between crowd, the music and the emotion that comes with hearing a new track at home and the effect that it has on the audience at a gig. 

The three have illustrious solo adventures and so the prospect of all three artists working together behind the decks is mouth-watering. Luckily for you this ethos was cemented in the live recording of their set for the French brothers Mates in Bordeaux. At the Sentaku showcase Man/Ipulate, Massaï, and Lamalice deftly switch between banging house, grinding basslines and insistent breaks all with a special synergy between them that resulted in this vibe heavy recording.

He is an infamous DJ and promoter from Offenbach City and with his crew named Dexterous Energy (@dex-music-collective), he actively participates in keeping Offenbach's underground house culture vivid by hosting events in the Rathaus Pavilion. "The first time I played for Resolute at H0l0 I had a rare and overwhelming feeling of being at home. Ever since then they have remained very close to my heart, and so I am overjoyed to be joining them for my transatlantic bookings moving forward. 

To celebrate this new chapter of our journey together, I have made a contribution to their podcast series. This live recording is from Houghton 2024, on a sunny Saturday afternoon at the Tantrum stage, with all my closest people in the front row. It was a special one and so it feels right for my Resolute family to host it.
