The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix by Vienna-based artist Codex Empire. Titled Excursions (One), this is an incredible hybrid live/DJ mix originally performed on 11th June 2016 at the Noiztank night in Vienna. The concept was to use atmospheric drone, dark ambient sounds and spoken word passages played from vinyl combined with live electronics for rhythmic content.

IHM's music is characterized by a showdown between love and hate. Fed by diverse influences as Ravy Techno, Industrial Music or EBM, his music explores all electronic universes. He usualy blends cold, creaky and dark sounds with a more emotional side in order to reveals a sort of melancholy power.

Welcome to the 33th session of Blocaus podcast.   
We receive as guest : I Hate Models.

Pushed in front of the scene late in 2016 with his Warehouse Memories EP released on ARTS, "I Hate Models" has known an eye-popping ascent. With a variety of releases on labels such as ARTS, Voitax, T/W/B or Pls.uk, he is as eclectic in his productions as in his DJ sets, and navigates between Rave music, Industrial sounds, Post-Punk, Wave or EBMish productions. He tries to not limit himself to a specific genre, exploring all electronic universes, and succeeded to create a certain "touch" recognizable in his tracks, with an association between emotional synths and colder sounds. With an artistic line based on the expression of melancholia and intense emotions, his music can be characterized by a showdown between Love and Hate, Darkness and Light.

Set recorded at L'Antipode, Chevreuil 2 years birthday on March 25th 2017.

BIOGRAPHY:
Crystal Geometry is the latest project from underground electronic music veteran, Maxime Fabre. Inspired by Post-Punk, Black Metal and Industrial, the French producer and live artist has returned to his roots, a crossover between the warehouse rave scene of the 90’s and industrial music, mixing EBM influences with machine-born Techno.

Centered around an ever-growing modular system, the project focuses on live improvisation utilising dedicated hardware. Crystal Geometry live performances are an assault on the body, marching through dystopian territories whilst manipulating sounds into menacing frequencies.
