Paul McComas and Cortney Blake joined us in beautiful Studio B to share some music.  They are two members of the new eclecti-pop band, Trouble Entendre, along with Eddie Bock and Peter VanEck.  Cortney also performs with the band, Nothing Personal.  Paul is part of the Dayna Clay Project with Maya Kuper.

Nothing Personal - Live Audio Recording - Demo Medley

I would consider myself a mezzo-soprano and am known to be quite versatile in many styles and genres of music. Since I have never been classically voice-trained, I cannot say for certain what my range in technical terms; however, I can describe my midrange timbre as being clear and bright with melismatic control and steady pitch. I have good dynamic control and vibrato. I can transition from belt to head voice with ease; I would liken my head voice as warm, full and feminine and my falsetto as airy and light.

While I may be relatively new at songwriting myself, I have dabbled in creative writing since I was nine years old.  I am open to working with other artists to bring to life their music and lyrics in whatever style is intended for the piece by the composer/lyricist, yet still be versatile enough to connect with the changing dynamics and use of inflection; and being mindful of additional musical solos may organically develop within a piece of music, especially when it's performed live.  

I value the importance of having meaningful content in one's songs and making a soulful connection with the listener by including a diverse range of instrumentation to incorporate and by the timbre of one's vocals.
