Slamboree is a live band with a Smörgåsbord of circus performers, daredevils and entertainers. We take each show as it comes, assembling a different crew from our collective for each show and every gig is very different to the last.

Musically we fuse bass-driven beats with live orchestra, guitars, percussion, loops, visuals, brass, accordian, pyrotechnics & circus. The genres bounce around breakbeat, dubstep, drum & bass, dub & electro swing fused with balkan, folk, and 'gypsy' flavours... all original & all live.

Within this very first year together we've been fortunate enough to perform our live shows at some amazing places such as Glastonbury Festival, Electric Picnic, Boomtown, Shambala, Beatherder, Kendal Calling and the River Thames in London. Over the hills and under the seas is where Le Juki conjure up their strange tales of intrigue and memory.  Three minstrels who weave urban missives out of acoustic vibrations and electrical sine waves.  

Le Juki are Jules Arthur, Lee Westwood and Kassia Zermon.  The trio came together after exploring various disparate projects in order to fuse their respective musical approaches into a single sonic idea.  Jules is a classically trained viola and piano player with an ear for all things electronic, Lee is a virtuoso guitarist and composer and Kassia has an alter ego known as Bunty - a vocal looping, genre-hopping improv diva.  When the three joined forces they realised that they had struck upon something quite unique and worthy of further excavation.

Le Juki have wowed audiences across the UK with their idiosyncratic live shows where amongst their myriad acoustic and electronic instruments are analogue synthesizers, toy trumpets and an ice box used as a bass drum.

On top of the band's left-field approach to song writing and performance is their incredible three part vocals.  Barbershop meets Bluegrass with a dash of soulful swing Le Juki meld their voices together into a sumptuous mix of melody and harmony.

With this, their début single - released via the creative collective Beatabet - the trio break out with "Forest Of Stick Insects": a psych-stomp bonanza of strings and staggered beats.  Ramshackle brain-hop percussion collides with a Tom Waits dream of drunkenness in a darkened wood.  The song is a taster of Le Juki's upcoming album and is the perfect introduction to their idiosyncratic take on twisted freak-folk.

Nine-piece Brighton/London based band, Resonators, have firmly established themselves on the dub reggae scene, finding a unique and distinct sound. Rooted in 60/70s reggae, Resonators embrace diverse influences, making their music relevant in todays Bass Music culture and reminding us of reggaeʼs uplifting influence on the dance floor.

Inspired by the meditative quality and universal appeal of Jamaican roots music the band radiate a playful and unified stage presence. The two lead singers Kassia Zermon and Faye Houston wipe away the notion of the big-ego front man whilst Darren JamTone provides live dub effects, and the balance is set.

Following its release in 2010, Resonatorsʼ eponymous debut album gained worldwide and national radio support on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and Kiss FM from the likes of Mark Lamarr, David Rodigan and Craig Charles.

Their second album, The Constant (released 5th November 2012 on vinyl, CD and download) fuses direct and healing messages about today's world with progressive roots-inspired dub and a deep soulful sound. The first single taken from the album, Surrender was described by David Rodigan MBE as 'British Reggae at its best.ʼ

The past few years have seen the band move audiences at legendary venues including Brixton Academy, Brighton Dome, KOKO, Jazz Cafe and festivals including Glastonbury, Reggae Sun Ska (France), Outlook (Croatia), Dour (Belgium)and Fusion (Germany). They have played support slots with a vast array of acts including Jimmy Cliff, Lee Perry, Fat Freddy's Drop, Horace Andy, Arrested Development and Black Uhuru to name a few.
