Adam Beyer supplies a new Truesoul release that connects with his more funky, tech-house side of his person. The use of Beyer’s melodies and chunky drums makes each track stand out. TDDE (Third Dimension Dance Encounter) began when Pan-Pot accidentally spun a record backward at exactly 3:33 AM, tearing a rift through space-time and summoning a dancefloor from the fourth dimension. Out poured creatures made of soundwaves and strobe-light dust, who insisted on co-producing the track using zero-gravity turntables and vibes compressed into crystal form. Every drop in the song corresponded to a collapse in physical law-basslines folding gravity, hi-hats opening portals, synths bending causality into grooves. At the climax, time briefly reversed, and the studio became a sentient disco ball that whispered the final mix into their minds. 

TDDE drops August 28th, 2025 on all platforms-wear something interdimensional and bring your best atoms to the floor.

Say What? is happy to welcome the new collaborative EP from Spanish/Chilean techno craftsmen Under The FX and JFERNANDEZ. Fusing precision-engineered grooves with emotional depth, the duo dives into the disorienting and fascinating world of time perception through hypnotic, rolling techno.

Opening the EP with elegant chaos, 'Desfase Circular' plays with looping sequences and subtly shifting percussion that evolve in a spiralling motion. Syncopated low-end patterns pull the listener in while atmospheric elements swell and retract like tidal waves of tension. It’s a circular rhythm that never quite returns to the same place.

A mechanical heart beats off-kilter in 'Pulso Desviado'. Clock-like clicks, rolling sub-bass, and warped synth stabs generate a hypnotic drive that feels both relentless and unstable. The groove continuously deviates from expected patterns, creating a sense of temporal distortion—like a second hand skipping beats in a dream..

The third track on the release 'Reloj Interno' explores the body’s own rhythm. Here, organic percussion interlocks with warm, rolling bass and subtle modular tones. The groove feels intimate and alive—almost biological. Pulses echo like a heartbeat, gradually layered with evolving synth textures that mirror the shifts of day and night. It’s a track that breathes, grounded in groove but aimed toward inner exploration.

Closing the EP on a deeper, more meditative note, 'Tiempo Suspendido' suspends time itself. Space opens up between the kick and the rhythmic elements, allowing haunting pads and ghostly effects to drift in like forgotten memories. The track moves slowly yet purposefully, capturing that strange sensation when moments feel stretched—when time no longer feels like a straight line. Perfect for closing sets or introspective home listening.

CDTRAX & Gabrielle join forces for a striking deep modular techno statement on Say What? with the Form And Void EP - a four-track journey that explores tension, texture, and the interplay between raw machine energy and hypnotic groove.

We start off with 'Form And Void' an immersion into contrast: delicate atmospheres collide with raw, pulsating low-end pressure. A spiraling modular sequence evolves throughout, never static, shifting shapes like liquid metal in constant transformation. Echoed percussion and shadowy textures create a sense of vast negative space, allowing the groove to breathe yet always pushing forward with purpose.

 Next up is 'Balance' a hypnotic rhythm sets the foundation, while modulated synth tones weave in and out, destabilizing the listener’s sense of grounding. Subtle harmonic layers rise and fall like distant signals, offering moments of serenity before plunging back into rolling, hypnotic momentum. The track becomes a meditation on equilibrium - how groove, distortion, and space coexist within one evolving system.

 The third track on the release is 'Kill The Messenger' a rolling deep excursion with metallic percussion and a growling, distorted modular bassline. The arrangement strips things down to essentials, creating an atmosphere of urgency and confrontation. With its minimal yet impactful design, it conjures the feeling of being locked inside the machine.

 We are closing the EP with, 'Mechatronic' an ode to kinetic energy and futurist sound design. Pulsating modular sequences interlock with crisp, precision-engineered drum programming, creating an almost biomechanical groove. The textures blur the line between human and machine, organic imperfection and engineered precision.

It is with a feverish excitement that we can finally announce the next EP in our catalog from our newest addition to the Second State family: Amelie Lens. Besides being quite a multi-talented virtuoso, the Belgian artist comes in hot and heavy for her debut release ‘Let It Go’ and with it showcases her prowess for dark, cutting-edge techno. Over the span of four tracks Lens takes us on a tour-de-force journey into the cerebral spaces of large, dark rooms and flashing strobe lights. Kicking things off is the hypnotically inducing 'Wild' with looping vocals laid over an ever increasing pressure of percussion and white noise. Much like the EP opener, 'Linger On' casts the same spell yet picks up the pace with racing snares and meteoric synth washes creating a deeply euphoric ride. The title track ’Let It Go' is up next and is by far the most 'cheeky' tune of the EP with a twisted acid line swirling around the constant begging of Lens’ voice encouraging you to "Let It Go, Let It Out". Rounding out the EP is 'The Finest Hour' and Lens wraps up her debut with the most psychedelic cut of the package. Low rumbling bass tones and spaced out pads over sparse drums leave lots of room for the imagination providing each listener to create their own journey to navigate. The Finest Hour

From Another Mind first started as a South German party series but soon evolved into a fully fledged label run by SHDW & Obscure Shape. Now it operates as a label and for the fourth release, they've invited a high-profile techno squadron to remix some of their tracks.

Artists like Rødhåd, Dax J, Konstantin Sibold and Ryan James Ford have all offered up their own high-octane and emotive re-imaginings of the duo's tracks but today we feature Tale of Us & Mind Against's edit.

Their remix of 'Die Weiße Rose' is a piledriving techno behemoth, one suited for dark, dank warehouses. Its synths zap across the forefront while venomous kicks thump away in the background.

It's the sort of demonic, mutant-energy track we've come to expect from both sets of producers and we're fairly certain it's going to explode. Check it out exclusively below.

Premiere: SHDW & Obscure Shape 'Die Weiße Rose' (Tale of Us & Mind Against Version)

On the back of two huge remixes, label bossmen Spektre are back with a scintillating original. “Forged in the Heart of a Laserbeam” is a sci-fi tinged, trance-infused slice of techno. An unusual, haunting synth sequence morphs and evolves through the track, being joined by epic pads and juddering, gated vocals.
The remix package comes courtesy of Skober and Sasha Carassi. Skober stays fairly true to the original with his mix, whilst cranking up the breakbeats in the drop and giving it his unmistakable spin.
Sasha Carassi strips things right back, and rebuilds a seriously cool, contemplative cut around the strings and pads.
