New York&#8217;s Layton Giordani is clearly at the forefront of the scene right now with his inimitable take on today&#8217;s Techno, showcased perfectly on this four-tracker.

&#8220;Lost Feeling&#8221; kicks things off with a frantic, acidic riff and metallic atmospherics set the tone in order to move on to &#8220;Episode Of 1992&#8221;, where the locomotive rhythm section provides the ideal backdrop for lush chords and a rumbling bassline. On &#8220;Cloud N9&#8221; we are treated to bubbling subs, haunting synths and a one-note percussive lead, which all come together to create a dense vibe. Closing up is &#8220;Keep On&#8221; and its very cheeky vocal sample, featuring looped electronics and a more subliminal approach to the programming.

Back in the UK for our 126th release, with Essex’s favourite non reality-TV export, Joe Blake. Joe has been a friend of the label for a while now, and the pieces have finally fallen into place for hist first full EP release, and it certainly delivers.
Lead track ‘No Words’ blends some serious low-end artillery with mangled gospel vocal snips and distant stabs, to devastating effect. Second up, ‘Curative’ bolts spaced out, eerie organs onto a bumping groove. ‘Fusing You’ continues the same theme, blurring the lines between synths and processed samples to create a hypnotic vibe that works superbly. Finishing the package off, a transatlantic collaboration between The Reactivitz and Funk n Deep boss Durtysoxxx produces a direct, dancefloor targeted take on ‘No Words’.
