South-coast singer, producer and performer, Frankie Knight, returns with the release of Gaia. Inspired by the book of the same name by James Lovelock and Aryvedic music therapy theories that relate instrument sounds to the elements of the earth, Gaia builds landscapes and movement with soaring synths, piano, guitar and saxophone. Environmental recordings from the Cornish and Sussex coast intend to pull you into a moment of calm and represent the relationship between the natural, contrasting elements on earth and how they share to maintain life.

Another track from the Wall Gazing EP released March 17th.  This one looks back to the first lockdown, when the streets were deserted.  When you ventured out you heard bird song like never before, which made me feel hopeful and anxious at the same time.

"Why Me is about this feeling or state we all go through whether we care to admit it or not, its's not quite anger nor is it quite contemplation, but rather a mixture of both"

States of Being is an e.p that blurs the boundaries between jazz, hip-hop, gospel, garage and grime. The result is both expansive and intricate, scanning the vast spectrum of Black music.
