La legendaria agrupación de blues rock psicodélico, y pionera del movimiento de rock en español de la década de 1990 en Puerto Rico, La Iglesia Atómica, vuelve a la vida luego de 20 años de ausencia. Antes que grupos como Kyuss, Acid King y Sleep revelaran al mundo la escena del stoner rock (o dessert rock) entre 1991 y 1995, La Iglesia Atómica fue pionera del subgénero en la Isla desde enero de 1990 .

The legendary stoner psychedelic rock band, and pioneer of the rock en español movement from the '90s decade in Puerto Rico, La Iglesia Atómica (The Atomic Church) is back on stage after 20 years of absence. Before California bands like Kyuss, Acid King and Sleep started the subgenre of Stoner Rock between 1991 and 1995, The Atomic Church pioneered the sound in the Island a couple of years before.

Ruff Majik is a rock 'n roll four piece from South Africa, currently based in Germany.

THE MACHINE is a Dutch rock band that plays a genre-defying blend of stoner grunge, modern heavy psych and the noisier side of shoegaze. Since their inception in 2007 they have been sailing on wayward, avoiding obvious clichés along the way. Having played a plethora of clubs and festivals throughout entire Europe, THE MACHINE established their reputation as a loud and no-frills live act. The band’s early days were rooted in lengthy heavy psych jams and desert grooves (2009’s Solar Corona became an underground darling) but founding members David Eering (guitar/vocals) and Davy Boogaard (drums) have been incorporating fresh elements with every other release. At the core of THE MACHINE’s most recent work are pop songs disguised in fuzzy feedback and pummeling grooves. Longtime friend of the band Chris Both (bass) joined in late 2018, which sparked a fresh restart of the band.

After several pre-COVID club shows and a late 2019 tour, this incarnation of THE MACHINE is currently working on the band’s seventh full-length. In typical THE MACHINE style the new album will be different from the preceding Faceshift (2018), which is their noisiest and most aggressive record to date. Its successor will probably satisfy fans of the trio’s more fluid side and will be a testament to the rebirth of the band. Expect a transition to floaty vibes, increased room for experimentation and a contemporary take on the big riffs that round out the trademark THE MACHINE sound.
