Retro MegaMixing the best dance music of 70's, 80's & 90's

Once an Old School Vinyl DJ of 80's & 90's Italio Hi-NRG, House, Euro Dance & Trance.

Retro Robson started off his DJ career back in the early 90s as a mobile DJ on 12" vinyl, moving onto pub residencies, then resident at the local Ice Rink, which included playing the atmosphere music during ice hockey matches.  He ended up being a weddings/function resident at a well known function rooms (the Old Assembly Rooms)in Newcastle by which time he was still primarily using vinyl but begrudgingly he had to start using CDs as some new releases were put out on CD only.  However with the advent of the MiniDisc, this meant he could put 20 to 40 tracks on one Minidisc, meaning less to carry, now of course it's even easier with the advent of the MP3. 

Now, Retro Robson is just mixing for fun & nostalgia,  (although he still has those old Minidiscs & a couple of crates of 12" Vinyl, gathering dust)

FR: Né en France en 72, j'ai été bercé par les sons de Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftverk, Depech Mode, Cure et tous les trucs cold et new wave. Viennent ensuite l'Acid House et les Raves. J'ai alors commencé à participer et à organiser quelques soirées avant de partir pour Leeds. Arrivé là-bas j'ai rencontré et partagé la maison de Nigel Walker, DJ résident de THE ORBIT qui m'a permis de rencontrer des artistes comme LFO ou encore Westbam. Après deux ans, je suis retourné en France où j'ai commencé à mixer de temps en temps pour des soirées grand public. C'est juste avant la pandémie que j'ai décidé de consacrer plus de temps à cette passion qu'est la musique en continuant à m'inspirer de mes DJ préférés comme Laurent Garnier, Louisahhh, Dave Clarke la nuit ou Bedouin, Lee Burridge, Guy Gerber le jour et donc de produire des mixes plus comme moi, avec des sons parfois très deep, parfois très techno mais toujours avec la même philosophie, TOUT EST DANS LE VOYAGE ! I then started to participate and organize a few parties before leaving for Leeds. After two years, I returned to France where I started mixing from time to time for mainstream parties.
