Revive 173 With Retroid (10-19-2023)

DJ Vidoven (Vidoven, Laszlo) was born in 1982, in Nyíregyháza, Hungary.
He was caught up in the spirit of music in the early 90’s. In those years he was searching for his way, but he already then knew, that Music is the thing that will basically determine his life and carreer. Over the years, while listening to a wide range of different styles of the music scene, his decision to be a DJ became clear. His main field then was house, but he was having an eye to thrilling and happy things, the trancier side of the scene.
His sound of music became clean in the late 90’s, it lies now squarely in the world of trance. These were the years when he began to perform in clubs, using turntables, CD decks. He was influenced by several top DJs and producers such as Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, thanks to whom the quality trance music has got there where it is today.
DJ Vidoven’s mix-sets, depending on the playtime, are built on several subtrends of the trance music including deep, electro, and progressive, and uplifting, latter exuding the special sort of happiness that he so much adores. He likes long-sets, lasting even seven or eight hours, thus giving him enough playtime  to show his full range of music. During his sets his audience is involved in his world of music and can share his devotion. The relationship and the  transferal of energy between the audience and the performer is more than essential for him. 
He claims to have the mission of propagating love and happiness that he believes trance music is for.
By now he has already played at most of the top clubs all over the country (Club Crime, Club Arsenal, Golden Age, Club K.O., Choppers, Y2K, Club Amnesia, Club Speed, Klub Fellaz, Club of Angels, Lounge Music Club, Coxkpon, R33, Cinema Hall, Coronita Cafe).
In 2003 he met and made friendship with Váradi Balázs, alias Tranzident, leading trance DJ in Hungary,  whose activity had already aroused the interest of top DJ’s such as Above and Beyond and Armin van Buuren. Tranzident’s sound even more encouraged him to stand by trance and their friendship has never flagged.
Besides standing behind the decks in clubs he also made appereances with his live mixes at various radio stations - such as Sunshine FM, Ha-Jo Radio, Retro FM and and Internet radios like Trancetream and TranceDryLondon.Fm. 
He also had an own radio show, TranceR, where he invited listeners to a journey to the world of uplifting trance.
He also feels inspiration for producing music because he considers to be important for a DJ to have own tracks. For 2 years he has been learning with eager, having Krajczár Péter a.k.a. Krash, one of the most recognized producer in Hungary, as his mentor. 

His efforts has been crowned with success. He was awarded with the 1st prize in 2010 in the Cls Records’ Remix Competition. In 2012 he signed a contract with the Sweet Records, Vidoven’s works are looked after and published by this company.

In the summer of 2012 another big step will be made: the first video is being released. Regional and national TV channels promised considerable media support. Meanwhile, Vidoven’s tracks are turning up on each digital music distributors’ sites including Itunes, Beatport, Trackitdown, Juno Download, CdjShop and more. His tracks are being played all over Europe, from Spain to Greece. He found another supporter, the English star DJ, Matt Darey. He has been eager to make remixes for Hungarian and international bands, singers, even different from his own style, showing what the rock and underground sound is like in his music language. 
In 2011 he met Tebron, founder and leader of Hungary’s only Trance-gigs organizer team. Thanks to this contact he has been offered to play in gigs with the current celebrities of trance like Kyau vs. Albert, Orjan Nilsen and John O’Callaghan. He has been permanently advised by DJ Ton Tb(Three Drives). 
But he always remembers his main mission: „I am a DJ and will always be!”
