His early influences stretch from New York lyricism (Rakim, Pete Rock & CL Smooth) to punk energy (The Ramones), filtered through the melodic experimentation of artists like Kanye, Chance, and early Drake.

“I feel like I’m a combination of all the different subgenres people listen to right now,” Jace says. “I can do melodic, trap-related, emotional, autobiographical—everything people want.”
