Archpalatine - One of the freshest new artistic voices standing out amongst the backdrop of the City of Brotherly Love’s many multi-faceted and musically talented artists. Archpalatine the singer, songwriter, pianist, performer, and charismatic band front-man Derek Anthony Wilson is poised to not only create a lane for himself and his bandmates (Anthony Pompey - vocals, Aaron Wolf - percussion, Ben High – bass, and John Palmer - synths and direction) but also blaze a trail for creative risk takers, soulful story tellers, and theatrical musicians who challenge the old guard of musical gate keepers.  

Wilson is a classically trained concert vocalist, National Marian Anderson Historical Society scholar artist, and internationally touring musician who’s accolades both on and off-stage are only rivaled by his desire to use his musical platform and gifts to initiate and support social change, engage spirit and talent, and course ambitions within the musical landscape. With a penchant for beautifully and seamlessly blending genres, Archpalatine sires a sound that is just as difficult to pigeonhole into one category as it is to forget.  

Archpalatine breaks down genre to create a new sound that may eloquently and appropriately be called “Histrionic Cosmic Soul”. Each week, nearly 4.5 million people listen to the show's intimate conversations broadcast on more than 500 National Public Radio (NPR) stations across the country, as well as in Europe on the World Radio Network.

Though Fresh Air has been categorized as a "talk show," it hardly fits the mold. Its 1994 Peabody Award citation credits Fresh Air with "probing questions, revelatory interviews and unusual insights." And a variety of top publications count Gross among the country's leading interviewers. The show gives interviews as much time as needed, and complements them with comments from well-known critics and commentators.

Gary Dann is a Drummer/Multimedia Producer that has toured throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe playing drums for the Grammy-award winning hiphop pioneers Digable Planets and has engineered, co-written, and co-produced music for one of the Planets’ founding member solo projects;  Cee Knowledge and The Cosmic Funk Orchestra. In 2010 - 2011 he also played drums for legendary hiphop duo Camp Lo. He has also played drums, engineered, co-written, and co-produced for the singer, Jaguar Wright, who famously sang with The Roots and Jay-Z for MTV unplugged.

​Gary is currently the drummer for the live global house music collective Worldtown Soundsystem. Gary’s personal studio projects also include being co-founder, co-producer, writer, and performer of an eclectic rock/hiphop jazzy studio production duo called Advanced Mechanisms.

Fraction Theory, Dann’s brainchild, a drummer/DJ duo with producer/DJ Nex Millen mixes samples of traditional folk music with live drumming and turntablism. The duo’s debut, a mainstage performance to an audience of 15,000 at the 2009 Philadelphia Folk Festival was decribed as “showstealing” and “one of the best mainstage moments” of the festival by John Vettese at The Philadelphia City Paper.

Dann has also toured and recorded as the drummer for the electro-psychedelic band Gemini Wolf, and the 60s Floyd inspired The Ennui Project.

In 2011, Gary Dann opened The Boom Room Studio in Philadelphia as a home for his music and for his extended family of diverse artists to freely create and since it has become a center of the creative arts in Philadelphia.

Born and Raised on the South Side of the Big Island Wild’nWoolley(his real name), began his journey into electronic music in 1998 with a trip to PanamaCityBeach. There he found the underground Florida Breaks scene. Upon his return to Hawaii, he became a valuable contributor to the Full Moon rave scene. Producing tracks and DJing followed shortly after. Always releasing his music for free, he was an early adopter of SoundCloud.
