Drive is track number six from my new project, Feels. Drive is a heavy synthwave track, conceived in a moment of my life where I don't really feel like doing much. I've been feeling lethargic as of late. At the same time, it serves as a reminder that you can't achieve much with drive, without fighting... so we fight.

Thank you so much for being here and taking the time to listen to my music.

My first steps in electronic music were with the Atari 260 ST (manually upgraded to 1 MB memory), a Yamaha PSR460 keyboard and Cubeat 1.0 (later renamed to Cubase 1.0). So I've always been focused on Cubase, so to speak.

That was a long time ago. In the meantime I set up my little studio and recorded a few songs for myself. However, I didn't dare to publish them because they might not be good enough for the world. 

But at the beginning of 2023 I risked to publish the first songs. I hope you like my music, even if everything is very amateurish.

Now 5 months have passed and I would like to describe my impressions so far. 

This is the best community I have ever experienced. You guys are so great, motivating, inspiring, creative and constructive. This week I welcomed my 500th follower and you gave me the opportunity to reply to over 1000 comments. I never would have expected that.

Uli Nicholas
With 23 years dedicated to the art of composition, Uli Nicholas (Ulisses Nicolau Alberto Barros) creates music that bridges the gap between classical tradition and contemporary styles. His musical foundation was built at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), where he studied Classical Music for two years and was a student of Maestro Joca Costa for three. He further refined his piano technique under the guidance of pianists and professors Liana Monteiro and Leandro Rocha, the latter also being an accomplished composer.

A multi-instrumentalist who also masters the acoustic and electric guitar, Uli possesses a unique intellectual background, having studied Physics for three years at UFRN. This blend of logic and emotion defines his eclectic catalog of entirely original compositions and lyrics. His work spans genres and explores vast themes: from philosophy, history, social criticism, and environmental preservation to the vibrant energy of Pop, celebrating love and pure fun.

Today, Uli continues to expand his creative horizons by focusing on meticulous arrangement and digital orchestration, maintaining his rigorous workflow of composing via notation software. His musical production is overseen by Rogério Vieira, a renowned producer in Brazil who mentors students internationally. At its core, Uli's work is driven by a desire to transmit messages of love and hope. His compositions often explore deep spiritual reflections, resonating with themes of faith and transcendent values that speak directly to the soul. All music and lyrics are solely authored by Uli Nicholas.

Bass Station also known as Liunam, is a Producer/Remixer and owner of the (Sweet Station Records) label with more than 10 years of experience, his songs have been played by great DJs.
He has worked as a DJ on some occasions and has been a musician since he was 8 years old, playing trombone, piano and basic music studies. He has also played on many radio stations around the world.
I have worked with several national and international labels and I have also worked on my own label with +100 references and 4 albums in digital stores, doing top in beatport and trackitdown.His track, Bass Station 123, is shared more than 18K times on Instagram reels.
Right now, he continues producing bass music, under the alias (Bass Station) and also other quieter styles such as House and electronica under the alias (Liunam).

Newest release: Dream Apocalypse (Orchestrated)

An update: the end of this year has been extremely chaotic in terms of work duties, and I haven't had the time or energy to make new music. I still want to, and I will, but likely, this is only going to happen in January 2026. 

In 2026, I want to complete my Dreamscape project and try to delve further into blending synthwave, orchestra and creating soundtracks. Thanks for following and listening to my tracks, and there will be more.
