Definition 'friend of God' Reuel Benjamin is a singer/songwriter. Reuel Benjamin was Born in South Manchester, United Kingdom, and raised in the Orthodox Rastafarian faith. This has influenced his styles and approach to music over the years. His music is a blend of conscious reggae, roots and hip-hop.
It is long known that Reuel Benjamin will raise the vibration and consciousness of his listeners far and wide. From a very early age the teachings and guidance within the Twelve Tribes Of Israel (Rastafarian faith) have given him a solid foundation in which to further establish his musical identity and cultural expression.

As a youth Reuel was known for his thought triggering song writing evoking consciousness for his listeners in the congregation.
Reuel has since been using his music to help steer the younger generation away from a life filled with crime, poverty and deprivation.

With catchy reggae hooks and a vocally energetic stage presence, this roots artist has performed at venues and festivals throughout the UK and in (2012) he was invited to perform live in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the (TTI) Sharma Royal Ball, where he gave a grand vocal performance in Addis Ababa. He also performed in Shashemene with a song called African Streets. He has opened stages for artists such as Macka B, Nucleus Roots and worked as front MC for Dub Dadda.

Reuel later Appeared live in concert with ''Sylvia Tella'' in 2013 at Huddersfield Caribbean Carnival, where he featured on her 80's (Hit Song) ''Special Way'' (original vocals by Mikey Dread). Reuel has continued to strengthen his song writing and live performance finishing as a grand finalist of 'Brittan's Got Reggae' 2019.

July 2020 saw Reuel release his Debut EP ''Silent Rivers'' produced and recorded by the late (Ras Fire) of 'Runn Records' in Tilburg, Netherlands.
Reuel closed the official 'King & Queen' show at the Leeds Caribbean carnival 2023 at the spectacular play house...

Through his songs, Reuel spreads his Rastafarian roots, Awakening a nation of scattered generations through consciousness.

I began life as an MC on Finesse International Soundsystem (Studio Mix)in Northampton, UK, back in 1985, originally known as The Kernel.  I could always be found in the dancehall or the blues party doing community service for my sound and people.  After a two month sojourn in Jamaica in 1995/6, and a realignment with Ras Tafari, Ras Xprshn came forward.  
I am not a lime light artist, merely one blessed with the gift of lyrical expression, and an ability to record, mix and master my own material, and using those talents to speak of the truth through social commentary, to glorify my Creator who blessed I with these gifts.  I hope those tuning in will appreciate the collection, and stay tuned for those (new and old) which are yet to be added.  Stay blessed! Faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the word of God!
