L’America is an independent record label that was founded through a desire to develop and nurture real artists in this generation of “disposable music”. Our mission is to work hand in hand with our artists using long term career building principals and, as artists ourselves who have been through the business, to do away with the outdated record label models that are still being used today.

When it comes to music, i like many different styles and genres... So for me the idea of following a certain pattern or style on every song, to me, it's something that i personally don't feel attracted too. When i sit down to write an idea for a song, i simply write and record what comes out naturally. I don't try to match the songs. I don't try to fit it into a style or try to make it sound like the previous one or the one coming next. I played metal music all my life. Still do. And GRITOS (which is the Portuguese word for screams) is where i can just do and write what i want without having to explain to the other members why or what the fuck i am doing. With GRITOS i feel free to just be myself and be open artistically with my music, and explore different sounds. Hope you like it, and if you do so, please hit the like button or post a comment. Based in Los Angeles, Shake That Bear is composed of members Andy Heyer (drums/percussion), and Jason Tapia (vocals and guitar). Though an alternative rock band at its core, Shake That Bear also incorporates the instrumental, vocal, and lyrical sensibilities of psychedelia, folk, blues, soul, and traditional country to create a diverse and exciting, yet cohesive, body of work.
