Lakej Returns to Soma Records with Static Future

Swedish techno innovator Lakej is back on Soma Records with a brand new release that delves even deeper into the introspective, hypnotic soundscapes that have defined his sonic identity. Known for his stripped-back, yet emotionally charged productions, Lakej’s latest offering continues his evolution within the genre while staying true to the atmospheric minimalism that first captured attention on earlier Soma releases.

The new EP, titled 'Static Future', showcases Lakej's mastery of tension and release, blending polyrhythmic percussion, evolving textures, and subterranean basslines. Each track unfolds like a ritual; tight, immersive, and meticulously crafted for the dancefloor.

Following a string of acclaimed releases on Soma, Lakej cements his role as one of the label’s most distinctive voices in contemporary techno. 'Static Future' marks not just a continuation but a refinement of the hypnotic minimalism he has become known for—pushing the boundaries while keeping the essence intact.

Munich-based duo Glaskin, brothers Jonathan and Ferdinand Bockelmann, have become pivotal voices in modern techno, known for their residency at the legendary Blitz Club and standout releases on labels like Mutual Rytm and Figure. Their live sets channel dynamic, forward-thinking energy, and now they bring that momentum to FJAAK's ever-expanding CROWD family.

With the Blue Light EP, Glaskin deliver four impeccably groovy tracks that balance stripped-down flair and shimmering texture. "Blue Light" opens the EP with mellow synth tones, a lean, hypnotic beat and a vocal loop murmuring 'here we go' that signals the underground journey ahead. Next up is "Captcha", releasing as the single, where a spoken female voice is layered atop rhythmic percussion, marrying atmosphere with groove-driven momentum. On the B-side, "Tape", digs deep into rolling uncompromising techno territory, strict in structure yet irresistibly danceable. The EP rounds out with "Prophat Tool Board", stepping slightly into house-leaning warmth, its broader rhythm and melodic warmth offering a fitting counterpoint to the brooding energy before it.

The Blue Light EP is Glaskin's debut on CROWD and a shrewd expansion of the label's sound palette: richly textured techno made for both peak-time impact and immersive listening. To celebrate the release on the label, Glaskin will join label-founders FJAAK for a CROWD night at Nitsa Club in Barcelona on October 10, an event primed to showcase the raw energy and precision behind their studio work. Glaskin - Blue Light

Amphia (she/they) is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist and DJ based between London and Berlin. Their sets move through hypnotic techno, percussive rhythms and layered sound design, creating immersive and emotionally charged journeys. As a resident at M.A.S. Limited, Amphia has built a reputation for deep, atmospheric sets that balance intensity with reflection, shaped by their background in experimental sound and identity-focused art.

Recorded shortly after moving to Berlin, this mix captures a moment of change and adaptation. Slower in tempo than their usual sets, it flows through calm and tension, mirroring the challenges and emotions of starting anew. It’s an intimate and personal listen, built from patience, focus and honesty behind the decks.

Greetings! In episode 047, we present to you a great artist, considered an institution of Spanish techno: Bernardo Hangar, a DJ originally from Córdoba, who represents the origins and development of the underground scene in Spain. With over three decades of experience, he has evolved from EBM to techno, consolidating an immersive style with dense, dark textures and enveloping basslines.

Revelation Of Noise - Apogaeum EP w/ Remixes by DJ Hi-Shock and Komprezzor

For our catalog IAR87 we are very proud to present the debut EP of one of most known Techno producers from Russia, Revelation Of Noise. His unique Techno sound has put this artist in a very top level in the Techno industry, in result, his music has been released on top labels such as Synewave, Affin, Naked Lunch, Android Muziq, Slap Jaxx and more. And also he has been getting huge support from top artist like Stephan Bodzin, Dave Clarke, Speedy J, Electric Rescue, Perc, Gary Beck Damon Wild just to name a few. Apogaeum EP it's just another massive release from the Russian artist.

For the remixes we welcome two very talented artist, the first remix is from worldwide known Techno Producer, from Australia, DJ Hi-Shock. He has released his own sounds through labels like Gynoid Audio, Synewave, Chroma, Slap Jaxx, Impact Mechanics, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Naked Lunch and Translucent, along the way being charted and played by the likes of Tommy Four Seven, Adam Beyer, Gayle San, Luke Slater, Chris Liebing, Damon Wild and Dave Clarke amongst others.

And the second remix, it's from another upcoming Producer, Chicago based, Komprezzor. This is his first contribution on Illegal Alien, but we are also releasing an EP from this talented artist on 2013. He also has upcoming releases on Impact Mechanics, Sienna Obscure and his own imprint SecreTechno.
