Deep House Paris crosses the Atlantic from Europe to the USA, to meet American DJ JASPER Z From Florida. When we stumbled upon his mixes while wandering on beatport we were very pleased to see how he creates a very complete musical universe, mixing various styles, never losing track of emotion and cohesion.
His style of mixing is very original and eclectic, blending various genres, navigating with ease from deep house, to techno, flowing back and forth seamlessly with a perfectly mastered technique. Music flows very naturally from one point to another, through a nice journey, lifting you up and injecting energy and power at very sensible moments. 
Tracklist has been taylored with particular care, and one can definitely tell that the mix has been made overseas, far from the usual shores we know in Europe, which gives it a particular touch we really love. 
We hope that you will like it as much as we did.

A: It was created in the days when spring begins, and then the spring never came.”

Barda’s galactic Urban Cosmonaut Radio podcast #10 was born in longing for blooming flowers and sunny days in Buenos Aires...and yet it’s a colourful hybrid of melancholy, warmth and cumbia rhythms, taking us on a ride through the Patagonian steppe ­ where we dance to sayas and cumbias, traces of dub and 
minimal, sounds of guitars and synths, and memories of Peruvian chicha.
The next set in this series is an eclectic blend of Cecilia Gebhard ­ aka Barda’s ­ own productions, remixes and mashups. Her musical roots are influenced by the textures of trip hop, electronic downtempo and her very first musical memory of The Beatles performing “Let It Be” on TV as a young child. After. singing and playing drums and guitar in rock bands as a teenager, she started producing music in 2013.
Spring may never have come to Buenos Aires, but something beautiful blossomed here in the Urban Cosmic Universe. Let’s see where it takes us.

My dear friends

I am happy to share my live recordings of one of the most magical night of my career so far.
I was invited to play in Oaxaca, Mexico together with Acid Pauli during 'Day of the dead' on 31st of oct 2015.
We played in some kind of old spanish church in the middle of the night. Because it was ‘the day of the death’ everybody was dressed like skelletons. They painted me as my dog Rivaldo, that passed away 3 months ago.
You can imagine playing in Mexico in a temple, on the day of the dead, with Acid Pauli, in front of Skelletons, while I was painted like my Rivaldo (and Martin had some kind of Jezus outfit) was pretty magical.

So I am excited to share with you the live recordings of this night.
I want to thank Mariana, ALKEMY and gem&bolt party w/ guest mezcal Amores and Meteoro to set up this night.
And all the people who came to show: you really made that temple come alive again!!

DHP Guestmix #29 - JASPER Z part 2

In contrast to the approach I took with my last studio mix, "Intuition (#055)," I decided to take this on from a calculated approach relying on reason rather than feeling. The mixes I respect and enjoy listening to the most are stylistically varied, so for this mix (not unlike most of my mixes) I aimed for an output that achieves the same, balancing lush vs stripped, angry vs delicate, synthesized vs organic, serious vs quirky.

The fun challenge of assembling a mix in this fashion is finding a way to weave through those various sounds without sounding jarring or schizophrenic. I believe if that's achieved, then the end result is an hour of music that can be listened to over and over again, staying fresh, and in rare cases, approaches timelessness.

I've been on tour these last few weeks spending quite a bit of time in planes, trains, and automobiles with lots of time to listen to this mix over and over. Obviously I'm heavily biased since I'm choosing only music that I love, but I'm just now getting sick of it after roughly my 20th listen. I hope you'll find this mix worth at least one.

Schmeckefuchs & Monolink im Tal - IV. Advent - #028

Dorian Gray (aka Moreno from Italy) takes his name from the infamous Oscar Wilde character who trades his soul for an eternal life of sinful debauchery. And indeed the heady world of underground club music can sometimes feel like this! The intensity of this dark concept is expertly weaved into the deep techno sound of Dorian Gray where Moreno keeps a strong focus on meticulous ambient loops moving into hypnotic techno rhythms. Moreno’s early influences hark back to the dark electronic 80s new wave sound but there are also jazz influences which have helped him coin the descriptive term of “afro-futurist techno”. Production work aside mainly with the note label Circular Limited, Dorian has received high accolades from artists such as Edit Select & Cio D'Or and he firmly states that his first love is DJing where he continues to push forward, proving his talent through various booking across Europe, in his native Italy and trips to his home from home, Berlin.
