Pipe Dream

Kenopsia is the eerie atmosphere of a place that is normally bustling with people, now being completely empty. The song itself represents a broken heart trying to love. That state of wanting somebody to love so badly but knowing you just can't do it right now. It was also heavily inspired by an artist named Devath, specifically his song Essence Access. It's one of my favorite songs of all time and I've wanted to dip into some lo-fi color bass ever since I heard it. I know this is different than previous releases and its on the experimental side but I hope you guys like it! :D

This song represents the pure state of infatuation that comes with love. Letting love overcome you and obsessing over your new-found emotions. It was a chance to make a more intense track on my own!

Love Bomb

Dispersion has many different definitions but the one that applies directly to this song is "breaking up or ceasing to exist as a whole". Flame and I wrote this to break up the deep tone of this EP and make something fun, energetic, and honestly, a little all over the place. Hope you all enjoy it! :)

Reverie & Flame - Dispersion

This is the deepest and most personal song I've ever written. Ambivalence is the state of having conflicting thoughts or emotions which is something I felt overwhelmed with for quite some time. Writing this song served as my therapy. In a way, I wrote it to myself. Maybe this song can help some of you as well! :)

Carnage may seem like a strange name for a track this lush and melodic, but it's actually meant to be quite ironic. Carnage is about finding beauty in everything, even when things seem hopeless. Hope you like it!

Let's Play Plasma Fuel (Reverie Pitchmap Edit) [Free Download]

This track actually started as a school project for my Creative Audio class. We had to make a full song using only 10 tracks and a variety of creative sampling techniques to create unique sounds, some of which came from non-musical field recordings! I wound up liking it enough to turn it into a full release and this version isn't much different from the one that I turned in! I will go into further detail below if you care to read, otherwise enjoy the track! :D

All of the main basses come from the same sample, that being a simple square riddim bass note that I found on Splice. I used resonators and Sampler patches along with automated processing to create a variety of sounds. Most of the percussion was made from field recordings. The kick is a straight sample but the snare's were made from me hitting a water bottle, and the hats were made by a rattling steel chain. Both the main and counter melodies are much more simple. The lead is just the stock Ableton Glockenspiel with a bit of automation throughout and the counter-melody is a Skybreak riff that I reverbed, resonated, and warped to create unique patterns. The sub is quite boring and came from an 808 sample but I did use Spectral Resonator and Erosion to give it some grit. Finally, there are several ear-candy pads and fx that came from a variety of sources with similar processing to the basses. I may do a full breakdown of this on stream and/or for Youtube sometime so lmk if you'd have interest in that!

Dream Dump

I wrote this song through some pretty heavy writers block but I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Shroud is about loneliness, and not the kind that comes with physical isolation, but the kind that leaves you longing for something more. The kind that isn't necessarily rational and strikes regardless of how happy you truly are. It's something I've been struggling with lately and this song was my outlet. I hope it resonates with anybody who's feeling some of the same things and I hope you all enjoy! :)

Billie Eilish - Bad Guy (Reverie Remix) [Free Download]

I'm a big fan of cinematic music as well as video game soundtracks and this song was my way of incorporating those influences more directly into my own signature sound. I wanted to focus on the atmosphere and overall aesthetic of the song, while still working in the in-your-face elements of bass music that I love. I'm extremely happy with how it came out and I hope you all enjoy it! :D

Sanctity

This is the most personal song I've ever written. It's about betrayal and the gut wrenching emptiness that follows. It's about a desperate cry for help and a helpless cling to the past. It's about isolation and the existential dread that comes with it. It's about the tangled web of emotions that your own head weaves when it can't possibly accept what's real. It's about your own thoughts holding you awake at night, haunting you, no matter how hard you try to fight. It's about blaming yourself for things you don't understand. It's about being your own demon. Sleep Paralysis serves as a catalyst of my emotions and anybody who's felt what I feel. I hope those who relate can resonate with this song and find healing, and I hope those who don't can appreciate it for what it is and find a way to make it their own.
