Not being one for words, Koot.C prefers expressing himself through music. Since a young age, he has been pushed towards music, trying different instruments until he fell in love with his bass guitar. After discovering a whole new world of music at his first rave, he was soon introduced to the art of djing. A few years down the road Koot.C finds his spot in the local scene, joining forces with local crews Bassworks, Unified Vibe, Undersound, and Studio Zero. Co-hosting Undersound Radio since 2013 & helping with multiple local events including LEMF and Kick It Saturday, it's easy to see Koot.C's dedication and passion for music. What can we say about the Reverin?  Well, his ability to bless the dancehall is rivaled only by a few.  Rev is probably best known for his ability to take people on a journey with his diverse bass-heavy selections, heavenly mixing, and the right amount of creative turntablism.  Coming from mid-90's Junglist roots, he’s a veteran soldier who has never lost the passion for that jungle sound.  Think about it: JUNGLE = AMEN = REVERIN.  A straight-up preacher of bass-heavy broken-beat sound!  Not only does he love and play jungle/dnb, Rev has been blending genres and subgenres within his sets before it was even cool to do so, playing whatever he is feeling and ensuring that the selection matches the mood.  In this respect, he is the kind of DJ that is a pleasure to watch at any time in any place.  Rev remains humble about his talent; so humble in-fact that he has asked us not to name-drop from the long list of international and local artists with which he has shared the stage.  He states that he “would rather focus on bringin’ positive vibes than to waste energy stroking his ego”.  His love for life can be heard through the music and felt through his stage presence.  If you have never seen a Reverin set, then you are invited to come embrace the experience for the first time and if you have seen him play before, then chances are you are planning on attending this event.

Reverin is co-founder of the UnderSound Collective and radio show on CKXU. Rev is also co-founder of Unified Vibe (Lethbridge) and EpicAcademy (Vancouver/Toronto/Peterborough). All of these organizations promote a collectivist framework that focus on good vibes, good music, and no-bullshit. Rev has also been affiliated with Come Correct (Calgary), Symmetry Sound (Calgary), and Parallax (Montreal).  He could be called an underground legend, having influenced several scenes across Canada.  He could also be thought of as a DJ's DJ, meaning that other DJs are keeping Rev sets in heavy rotation. Reverin has expressed his gratitude for having been fortunate enough to play some of the biggest festivals and cities in Canada.  Whether he's playing on over 100000 watts of PK Sound at Shambhala's Village Stage, some dank club, or on the radio, a Reverin set is always special.
