Vy Tran is a Berlin-based DJ who spent nearly a decade shaping the electronic music scene in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. Focusing on techno, his sets balance groove and drive, crafting a unique narrative with deep, dynamic layers. The Vienna-based DJ, producer and curator Verhall is no stranger to the local underground scene.
By co-founding his own imprint „RAUM Records“, he established a platform where renowned as well as emerging artists can share their vision of deep, hypnotic and sophisticated techno.
With his collective „Qualia“, he also created a space for fellow music enthusiasts to come together and share their passion for techno.
In his DJ sets, he explores dark, atmospheric and organic soundscapes that blend together music from different times and subgenres, always keeping the focus on storytelling and danceability.

This was a release under my older Jake moniker, the flipside of my first release on my own label Blueface and was catalogue no BFACE001. It starts with a vocal sample "reposess" which is a fragment of a story of cyberpunk nature around futuristic body snatchers which is joined by a chunky kick and hat combo and dark sampled bassline. Then more layers of lighter and zingy chords are added to develop the journey meaning the track combines darkness and lightness. The breakdown uses the vocal with a long feedback delay to create a space for a dance crowd to whoop before the kick hat combo comes slashing back in.
