Having played throughout the province of Alberta testing out songs in the band’s growing repertoire, Revolution Engine set out to capture the energy that had become a hallmark of their live shows. Playing many of Alberta’s great venues (The Starlite Room, Station on Jasper, Shakers Roadhouse, Forge on Whyte, Studio Music Foundation, Bohemia, Bo’s Bar & Stage, The Vat, Distortion, The Blind Beggar Pub) and a number of the festivals, the band set its sights on a raw and visceral feel for this new album: “Fist & Flame”.

Revolution Engine’s sound is driven by fat grooves, grinding riffs, and compelling verse. This alchemy of hard rock, hip-hop, and spoken-word influences, fused with a unifying message on many issues of the day, has produced an arresting experience for everyone that encounters this band.

When asked about a Revolution Engine show, fans consistently site the band’s energy, passion, and sincerity.

The band set out from the start to build a sound around a message of hope and purpose, drawing influence from Rage Against The Machine, P.O.D., Project 86, Linkin Park, and Papa Roach, but with a twist on the concept of protest music by promoting that the listener rise above rather than against.

Ms. Teaze grew up in Red Deer, Alberta and has always called it home. With a love for her city (especially the hip-hop scene) she was inspired at a young age to become an emcee. "I really wanted to be a rapper, but I felt it was hard cause there isn't a lot of female rappers where I come from. I really wanted to record so I did, and after that I was getting the respect that I wanted, then I started doing shows and that was my dream."
She may come from a small city, but her local crowd has always supported her and given her plenty of love to pursue her passion. Organizing and performing at countless local shows previously, Ms. Teaze took the Alberta hip-hop scene by storm in 2011. Opening for acts such as: Moka Only, Apathy, Choclair, Cormega & large professor, D12, Swollen Members, Hopsin & Swizz, Rochester, Karl Wolf, Gee Wunder, Redman,D-Block, Mos Def and recently, Tech N9ne. She has definitely put her name in as a must have performer in the blooming Alberta hip-hop promoters circle."I'm as real as it gets, I write my own music, that shows the every day life of a human being. I love giving the audience a super hype show and giving back to my fans who are #1!"
