Creative collaborations can be as varied as the artists and art forms involved. Seldom though do we hear of a tale involving a long lost recording and a sweet little secret. The story goes something like this…

At the beginning of the millennium, Spacey Space was busy DJing and playing live sets around Naarm / Melbourne, some of which were recorded to DAT and backed up to various hard drives.

Fast forward twenty years and the pandemic provided the perfect catalyst to dig through these ancient drives uncovering a recording called ‘Sloppy Live Track’. Old mate T-Rek never met a wonky banger he didn’t like and thus Spacey sent it to him for a laugh and promptly forgot about it.

With the light of divine inspiration shining brightly, T-Rek secretly took it upon himself to reimagine the track as giant melodic robo-funk feast, and DON’T STOP! along with its insistent capitalisation and punctuation was born. 

Complete with remixes from DJ Ransom and Funboys, the first-time collaboration from Spacey Space & T-Rek hits the streets via the esteemed Revolver Upstairs Records, loving home to both artists since before anyone can really remember.
