British singer-songwriter RAYE shines as one of the brightest stars in music today, boasting eight Top 20 UK singles, 5 Billion global streams, an Ivor Novello Award, and a track record of writing for the industry’s biggest names. Since her debut in 2014, RAYE has undergone a remarkable journey to stardom. Nominated for a record-breaking seven 2024 BRIT Awards – the most of any artist in one year – her long-awaited independent debut album “My 21st Century Blues” made an immediate impact. As a welcome result of her self-fulfilling work, RAYE unknowingly created the song that became synonymous with 2023. The global smash “Escapism.” not only became the largest selling single by a female British artist in 2023, but it also earned RAYE her first UK #1 and entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US where it’s since been certified Platinum. Bridging a gap between the West and the Middle East, Lana Lubany’s unique, sultry, bilingual sound speaks to global audiences. Lubany’s latest single ‘THE SNAKE’ has gone viral on Tiktok and Instagram, amassing a combined 12M+ views on the platforms and garnering over 3 million Spotify streams within a few weeks, spreading its infectious energy around the Western and MENA regions like wildfire.
Growing up Palestinian with an American background, Lubany had a special upbringing and introduction to music, performing alongside great musicians such as Peter Yarrow and Bobby McFerrin, and in front of president Obama, The Pope, and many other notable public figures. In addition to years of singing and performance experience, she grew up writing songs and honing her craft and knowledge about the music industry.
Lubany started working with producer Ben Thomson in 2020, together developing the unique sound that is heard on ‘THE SNAKE’ today.
