Graham (https://soundcloud.com/lavallin ) approached me a few months ago to suggest this Marillion song as a collaboration, assuming that I was a fan. I had to confess that I’d never heard this before and could count the Marillion songs I knew on one hand. I’m so grateful to Graham for this introduction as this is a beautiful and powerful song, although don’t ask me what it means – I’d have to say whatever you want it to mean. It was a tough task trying to follow in Steve Hogarth’s footsteps as his voice is so much more powerful than mine is, I couldn’t really emulate it so this is just my take on it.
