After daydreaming of Onrique's space, Captain Rex Vermilion thinks back to a time with the partner he loved. He imagines her with him, as they are, flying never to see Earth again. In these moments, he realizes he will never see his love again. But he can long for her kiss...

Captain Rex Vermilion ponders the space around him, wondering if other lifeforms will reveal themselves. A space journey is bound to get boring at points, and looking out into the void of it all doesn't help.

After expressing his curiosity for other lifeforms within the nearby cosmos, Rex Vermilion receives a distant radio transmission. It's a poem recited by what sounds like another human. While hearing this poem, he imagines space fairies dancing around the windows of his ship, in a scene that will take him with awe.

To continue passing the time, Captain Rex Vermilion inquires with his right-hand man, Donovan, as he ponders the validity of the MASTEMA creature known to terrorize the distant cosmos. Donovan, who knows of the creature, begins telling the tragic story that leaves the crew scared out of their minds.
