Soooooooo, here it is: my 4h Katerset. What a freaking milestone. At somepoint in the middle of the set I looked around and realised what was really happening around me. People dancing, yelling, hugging each other, kissing - everything to my musicselection and at this crazy location. @kater_blau, the place so many storys are told about. I guess you could've read it of my face, how overwhelmed I was. I just had this biiiiiiig grin on my face looking like a very happy Honigkuchenpferd. 

Again thanks to all the dancers who made this experience so unique. And of course thanks to the booking  and the people working at Kater for making my stay so enojoyable. Two years ago I found a message in my inbox. @soerioesqrios had stumbled upon my @katahaifisch podcast and asked me if I wanted to play at MitDir-Festival 2021. Sadly the festival was postponed due to Corona. But this year it finally happend and it was a blast! Thanks to my friends and all the dancers who were there friday night (01-03 p.m.), cheering and celebrating music with me. And thanks to all the lovely people who created this magnificent dancefloor. Trippy as hell and with so many details! I'm still shaking! And, obviously, thanks to @soerioesqrios for booking me and all his hard work at MitDir-Festival!

Frida Darko - Friday Night @ Atlantis - Bucht Der Träumer* 2022

Juhuuu es gibt mal wieder ne zharte Rakäthe! Aber was war das für ne knappe Nummer?! Rakäthe liegt mit Covid im Hangar – es ist unklar, ob sie’s überhaupt rechtzeitig wieder rausschafft, während @zhart sich seine Masterarbeit drei Tage vor Abgabe um die Ohren haut. Zum Glück hat’s der Flow mal wieder geregelt und beide stehen genesen und gemastert Samstag Nacht im Kater auf der Matte. Da gab’s diesmal also mal wieder mehr als nur einen Grund zu Feiern.. Und eine ziemliche Abfahrt – der Kuckuck hat gebebt! Was für ein Vibe! Wir sind so unfassbar dankbar, solche Abenteuer – umgeben von den tollsten Menschen erleben und mitgestalten zu dürfen. Riesiges Dankeschön an alle, die neuneinhalb Stunden lang diese Stimmung und Energie auf den Floor gezaubert haben. Den Übergang zwischen unseren beiden Sets gibt’s jetzt für alle, die nochmal mit der zharten Rakäthe durch den Kater fliegen wollen.  LIEBE 🚀♥️

Dear Berliners (and all other people in the world),

thanks for making this night in Beate Uwe so nice and special! The Beate was really full from the beginning on and it was very nice to catch that energy at 4:30 after the incredible @seniorcitizen_wav. Lot's of love goes out to @downvienna for creating that party and all the great artists who joined them: @deepandi, @thisisrakaethe, @schnuppo, @seniorcitizen_wav and @marliblue_sofyah <3! 

This is set is very raw and includes both fresh tunes (including a special down party intro ;)), tunes I play regularly and some old tunes I almost never play, so I hope it is not getting boring :). After an hour of playing my Maschine got mad, so there maybe some quirks here and there (and no live drumming in the end :-I).

Wenn gemeinsam Träume wahr werden... Was ein Festival, was eine Insel, was ne Crew, was ne Crowd und was ein morgen! Da ich mich erst vor 2 Jahren auf den Events der @mystic-tales-berlin in Downtempo verliebt habe, war es schon ultra schön zu hören, dass die Mystics uns vom BeYond Kollektiv dabei haben wollten um ihre schöne Insel in Polen in eine zauberhafte Parallelwelt zu verwandeln✨. Dass @thisisrakaethe und ich dann auch noch den Mainfloor für @hhaller einheizen durften war ein einziges Träumchen. Nur schön und unfassbar aufregend die eigenen Lieblingstracks und die ersten eigenen Produktionen auf so einer Anlage zu betanzen.  Und wieviele Lieblingsmenschen mit uns in der Hitze breit grinsend sich wild tanzend in der Musik verloren haben werde ich literally nie vergessen. Wir können die nächsten gemeinsamen Abenteuer kaum abwarten🚀

Dickes fettes Dankeschön an die @mystic-tales-berlin die für so viele Menschen in Polen Träume haben wahr werden lassen. Nur Liebe an @beyondcollectiveberlin für den traumhaften Familienausflug nach Polen💜

When dreams come true together... What a festival, what an island, what a crew, what a crowd and what a morning!  Since I fell in love with downtempo only 2 years ago at the Mystics events, it was super special to hear that the Mystics wanted us from the BeYond collective there to turn their beautiful island into a magical parallel world. That @thisisrakaethe  and I were booked to heat up the mainfloor for @hhaller was literally a dream come true. Just beautiful and incredibly exciting to dance to your own favorite tracks and your first own productions on such a sound system.  And I will literally never forget how many of our favorite people lost themselves in the music, smiling brightly and dancing wildly in the heat. We can hardly wait for the next adventures together.
Big big thank you to the @mystic-tales-berlin who made dreams come true for so many people in Poland. Only love to @beyondcollectiveberlin for the dreamlike family trip on this mystical island.

🚢 Wow, what an incredible feeling to play at beloved Dampfer for the very first time! 💞🧜‍♀️ Having dreamt of this moment for years, I would have never imagined myself playing downtempo in Sisyphos.. since this was also the first time, that the Naked Tea Party took place in Dampfer, I think it's fair to say, it was a special event for all of us. 💫 To see the floor transform into something new through the music played, was just magical. All together, we - hosts, organizers, dancers & djs - created such a smooth, pleasant atmosphere. A memorable night. Thankful, to participate in this. ✨

Grateful, that I was trusted to curate music as I please, thus the sets starts off smooth and moderate, in a way 'warming up' and paving the way to slow'n'deep, yet driving eccentricity, without speeding up bpm. Just, what felt right for this special occasion 🌓

Here is my recording of probably my favorite party of the year!

It's too nice to play for friends and familiar, beloved faces and our event at Glashaus shows me every year why I love collecting music to show others. Playing from 04:30 to 07:00 ist probably my most favorite time, taking some of the energy of the night and transitioning it into the new day with more of a melodious sound. 
With Marie (@maria-theresia-von-eberg) and Maria & Mathieu (@marieu-heimlich) we had the best guests we could have wished for. It was great with you.

I often think to myself that I should always play new songs, but lately I just try to play what I want to hear at that moment without letting myself be guided too much by any distracting thoughts. So not too much new stuff in this one but I still hope you like it.

Born in Cologne and raised up in southern bavaria, reyneke started playing classical guitar when he was 10 years old. Growing older he eventually discovered punk rock, so he switched his wooden guitar to an electric and started playing in bands. At the same time he had his first electronic music experience visiting cosmic music (some sort of slow techno only popular from italy till south of germany) and goa partys. From this time on, he produced music with only his computer and the - rather basic - tools of the end 90s softsynth era and trackers. After a long period of doing mainly reggae/dancehall instrumentals, he came back to electronic music when moving to berlin in 2010. Since then he is fascinated by the rather slow & deep side of this genre. In 2018 and 2019 he had the first releases with his projects @PHUEXE and @Bassaramusic (with @sahrabass) which found a good resonance with popular DJs like Mira, Madmotormiquel and others, who played the tunes on big festivals like Fusion and Garbicz.
