Swirling within the coiled serpent's tail stands a portal portraying a shimmering expanse of sun-scorched savannah. Seemingly devoid of animate life, only a scant few acacia trees provide shelter for any would-be traveler beneath the heat of the blood-red star that shines above. In the vision before you, even the very ground seems to be scarred by the searing temperature that emanates from the mouth of the portal. The land within is barren, pockmarked as the skin of one who has been touched by roaring flame. At one time, perhaps, some water did flow here, but the remnants of its course are covered in a glassy filament that is baked into the sand below. 

This exsanguinated artery of the land stands before you as the sole path through this hostile world that the Vision Serpent presents. Oft is it said amongst questing adventurers that the harshest of landscapes hold the greatest of treasures, the secrets that may have brought them to ruin or the knowledge capable of restoring them to their former glory. The portal lies open before you - will you accept the Serpent’s searing trial and venture forth into the world of the blood-red sun?

Following in quick succession to their debut release, VISION SERPENT now presents GEORGI Z’s “BAD INFLUENCE EP” as the second locale within the label’s interdimensional survey of myriad sonic lands. Within the EP, GEORGI Z provides a tripartite trail of tracks to lead listeners on their journey, beginning with the brooding atmosphere of the titular “Bad Influence” and progressing “Into the Past” along the divergent timelines of GEORGI Z’s original track and an accompanying remix by VISION SERPENT founder DAVID PHOENIX.

Before you lie a landscape marked by monumental topography, a cacophony of mesas, sheer cliffs, and ravines that tumble almost instantaneously into each other. A world aeons older than your own, the pervasive natural forces of the universe have sculpted it into a masterpiece of flora and stone. From the cliffsides cascade an endless ecosystem of epiphytic vines, grasping gracefully onto the knurled surface of the exposed sandstone. Far below, the rainwater that runs filtered through the mountainsides gathers in cerulean pools in the depths of the ravines, which glisten gently in the light of the few rays of sunlight that reach their surfaces. 

What new life might lurk hidden amidst these crevasses, striding upon the sandstone or soaring above it? Coiled around the portal, the VISION SERPENT now promises an elder knowledge, something long lost yet intrinsically tied to all that surrounds you, something that can be found only amidst the bounties of this lush and beautiful land.

YVC make their VISION SERPENT debut with PIECE OF MIND, a single that features a pair of remixes from 8Kicks & Krypta. The title track’s determined bassline rolls out beneath an assortment of glitched sonic fragments that flit about within its darkened atmosphere, with  8kick’s remix redefining the low-end motion and incorporating a mysterious melodic motif. This is followed by WHEN IT COMES, the single’s B-side from YVC which thrums with galvanic tonalities that emanate from its driving rhythmic core. Krypta’s remix closes the EP by rerouting these tonal currents, folding them back on themselves for an expertly warped take on the original track.

Reza Golroo is an Iranian music producer and DJ renowned for his contributions to the Minimal Dark Techno scene. His musical journey began around 2010 , but it wasn't until 2014 that his career took a significant turn. That year, his debut track was signed by the reputable Karmic Power Records, prompting him to dedicate more time to music production. 
Initially, Reza focused on House and Deep House genres, infusing them with darker atmospheres. However, in 2015, he transitioned to Minimal Dark Techno, a move that accelerated his career. He released several successful EPs under Fierce Animal Recordings, many of which charted in Beatport's Top 100 for Minimal Techno. His tracks also attracted remixes from prominent artists.
In 2019, Reza began collaborating with Jannowitz Records. Their partnership led to the release of the EP "Medusa," which became one of the most successful Minimal Techno tracks of 2020. "Medusa" reached #4 on Beatport's charts and amassed over 1 million streams on Spotify within eight months. It also featured on Spotify's premier Techno playlist, Techno Bunker, for nine months. 
In 2021, Reza launched his own record label, Fade To Black, aiming to release fewer tracks but through major labels, further solidifying his presence in the global techno scene. Despite residing in Iran, where public performances of techno are illegal, Reza continues to produce and release music, contributing significantly to the international techno community. 

He has also expressed a desire to perform legally in his home country, hoping for a future where he can share his music without fear of legal repercussions. 

Reza Golroo's journey from a hobbyist to a prominent figure in the Minimal Dark Techno scene exemplifies his dedication and passion for music. His ability to adapt and evolve within the electronic music landscape continues to inspire both fans and fellow artists alike.
