جوهر ریکوردز به عنوان بخش کوچکی از فرهنگ هیپ‌هاپ فارسی در شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۹۰ توسط چند نوجوان ۱۶ ساله در تهران شکل گرفت. این لیبل تمرکز خود را در حوزهٔ ام‌سیینگ، پرودوسینگ، کامپوزینگ و همچنین گرافیتی گذاشت تا در فضای آن روزهای هیپ‌هاپ فارسی روایتگر امید و آرزوی نسلی که به آن تعلق داشت باشد. پس از ۷ سال فعالیت و به دلیل بالا رفتن سن اعضای لیبل و مهاجرت، فعالیت گروه در سال ۱۳۹۷ متوقف شده و امید است روزی اعضا باز هم گرد یکدیگر آمده و در هیپ‌هاپ فارسی فعالیت کنند.
