We would like to welcome you to a new addition to our weekly radio this week from none other than Johnny Yen (Archaic Future Sounds). 
 
DJ, selector and vinyl digger Johnny Yen started his career in the mid-2000s by organizing and performing raves in a Viennese night club in a former pedestrian underpass. A subversive supporter of the underground scene, he has curated and played hundreds of club events. 
 
In his Vinyl-only sets he loves to mix various styles like Leftfield-, Balearic-, Afro Cosmic- and Italo Disco with New Beat, EBM, Electro, House , Techno and Trance, not only vintage but also contemporary productions from his Collection of 12,000 records. Since 2009, Johnny's has been hosting the Disco Frisco DJ Mix Podcast and the event series of the same name with great passion. In 2021 he founded his label for contemporary electronic music Archaic Future Sounds.

On Thursday the 17th of April I have the honor to play alongside the holy John Talabot & talented Mattheis at the penultimate edition of Drift @ Doornroosje (current venue). In order to promote the night, I’ve recorded a podcast to get the visitors excited & to get the doubters convinced. The organization have told me that more than half of the tickets are gone. So you have been warned. 

Back to the mix! The usual receipt. Current favorites, builded up from the slow chuggers to the more uptempo psychedelic bangers. Have a nice trip!

Devourer of sounds, restless DJ and a unique voice on the Spanish scene, Gela’s musical journey began in Murcia in 2003, and since then has been continually imbued with the musical influences of the different corners of the world to which she’s travelled. It’s no wonder disco, cosmic funk, Brazilian music, acid house, dark 80s new wave, low bpm techno, electro, ambient and 90s breaks all co-inhabit in her sets. In 2013 she settled in Madrid, where she reunited with Madame Excuse, friend and likeminded DJ with whom she formed Iguana, the project in which they DJ and produce together. Gradually, Gela has carved out a well-deserved place in the Madrid club scene, including a very celebrated residency at Club Berlín, and in recent months she’s greatly expanded her range, playing out in places such as Razzmatazz and Freedonia in Barcelona, Corsica Studios in London, Wilden Renate and About Blank in Berlin, Dabadaba in Donosti, and the Red Light Radio station in Amsterdam. Gela reached several milestones in 2022, such as playing at Sónar or handing it over to Laurent Garnier in Madrid. This year, she has been selected for Keychange, a european programme for bringing underrepresented talent to the front in the music industry.
