Der Titeltrack „ZUKUNFT“ lässt einen plastisch das aktuelle gesellschaftliche Spannungsfeld erfahren. Zwischen hoffnungsvollem Schimmer und erahnbarer Dystopie, zwischen undefinierter Todesangst und bedingungslosem Lebenshunger macht sich eine hypnotisch-lähmende, abwartende Unbehaglichkeit erlebter Distanz breit, und es stellt sich unweigerlich die Frage: Wie verändert das eine freie Gesellschaft, einen freien Geist? Kann man optimistisch durch diesen gegenwärtigen nebulösen Aggregatszustand manisch-depressiver Ohnmacht in die Zukunft sehen oder zieht man sich gänzlich zurück? Der Ausgang ist ungewiss.

The title track "ZUKUNFT" (Future) lets you experience the current social tension vividly. A hypnotic, paralyzing, wait-and-see discomfort of experienced distance spreads between a hopeful glimmer and an anticipated dystopia, between an undefined fear of death and an unconditional hunger for life, and the question inevitably arises: How does this change a free society, a free spirit? Can one look optimistically through this present nebulous aggregate state of manic-depressive impotence into the future or does one withdraw completely? The outcome is uncertain.

There was a strange beacon that we noticed pulsing from an almost hidden sector of the Germany region of the planet: Earth.  
We noticed it was from two assets we had previously identified as Kit Curse and Parasite.  Once we were able to retrieve and unscramble the communiqué, we created this archive to serve as a recorded marker of the darker recess of human emotion. The files are as listed below:

You can decipher a combination of frozen artic air and the cold glowing electrical fuzz of a failing satellite once used in 
an early warning system during primitive human combat. The tribal drums move along as a lurching form of intimidation and exploration.  
A woman’s voice comes over the transmission asking “Are you scared now?” followed by sweeps of percussive hits and sparse mid range 
squelch like bass stabs.  Tension moves in and out of the programming keeping you on edge for what could be waiting for you in the shadows.

PRIMAL FEAR
Continuing where the last track ends, the listener finds himself or herself navigating a minefield of electrically charged pulses and arches. The percussive programing is still stripped back and cautious but not lacking for movement. Along the way there are whispers of those who have gone before us and who have fallen victim to their own fears.

Sometimes a certain sound or style becomes synonymous with a city and that's somewhat true, albeit in reverse. Despite their wide-ranging sounds, HudMo, Inkke, S-Type and the rest all have a common thread running through their individual takes on club music. And the same can be said for Connor O'Leary, aka @TryTryDieDown, who spent two years in the city and tomorrow releases his new EP, 'Peninsula', on Nightwave's very well-respected @Heka-Trax label. Quite possibly it's the injection of happy hardcore energy into the grime-bass-garage-rave mix. Whatever it is, it's made for a punchy little release stacked with bangers.

In January, we inaugurated Astral Plane Recordings with SHALT’s Acheron, a stunning label debut for one of 2016’s breakout artists. Combining a corporeal intensity with a deft touch for ghost melodies, Acheron is a release that exists entirely on its own plane and on November 25, SHALT returns with Inertia, his second outing on APR and the final release of the year for the label.

Building on the laser-focused intensity of Acheron, Inertia is an expansion in every sense, a larger-than-life slab of harsh electronics, hook-like riffs and knife’s edge sound design. Concepts introduced on Acheron (ecological destruction, the consequences of terraforming, stasis vs. velocity) are expounded on at length, embodied in the virulent noise and gut punch sub bass of tracks like “Wavering” and “Inert Indifferent”.

As a club record, Inertia has the ability to dominate space, but it instead exists on the precipice between a quantifiable dancefloor quotient and an intangible world building quality. From the machine chug of “Resistant” to the solipsistic lurch of “Ouroboric”, SHALT’s vision is born out in widescreen clarity and fine-tuned precision on Inertia and all it takes to engage is to listen loud.

Pittsburgh resident Shawn Rudiman releases his debut EP on Tresor Records. Titled Autonomic Pilot, it features shifting tables of subliminally orchestral synths and rich drum textures that spawn new voyages.

A bold approach underlines ‘KNSR’, where saturated acid manipulates the cinematic intent of the brassy synth strokes. Too Far Gone goes for the interstellar, featuring insistent, playful percussion amidst widescreen resonances before resolving into a cerebral workout of Rudiman’s trademark machine funk. ‘Erotique Feedback’ shows Rudiman honing his focus into what will no doubt be a regular in clubs - a 303-oriented electro trip, a synaptic drive into glittering acid bliss.

On the B-side, the mind magic of ‘Past The Edge’ shifts outside, bringing a sunrise for those who reinvent the possibilities of the day. ‘Eyes Forward’ is a techno banger, forcefully pointing in the direction of travel and shutting the door behind. Ascending effortlessly, Rudiman motors into essential repetition. ‘Backwards Tomarrows’ brings an industrial feel, almost obscuring melodies and cadences that recalls the galactic innovations of the Detroit sound.

The studio is Rudiman’s vehicle, the weapon and the balm. From synthetic wonders to dark-warehouse drum missives, Autonomic Pilot proves once again Rudiman as a master of his craft. Tresor Records is proud to welcome his new work into the world.

The port welcomed boats and ships from all over the world, a meeting place for people to share tales of their intrepid journeys. There was much hustle and bustle as the nomadic groups stepped on to solid ground and greeted one another. Joyous cries rang around the port, it had been months, years even since these travellers had seen one another. After a few days they would part ways and take their travels to a new corner of the world, but they would always return. This place was their home from home.



Moscow-based label ИДА are set to release the 10th record on their imprint, this time from Saint-Petersburg producer Bogdan who makes up one half of Soft Metal. The four original tracks display his love of breakbeat, acid and percussion, with signature remixes from Vilnius producer Miskotom and label heads Uninc & Kolomensky.
