Rekids celebrates 10 years of Radio Slave’s ‘Grindhouse’ with remixes from Len Faki, Slam, Obscure Shape & SHDW, Vatican Shadow, Markus Suckut, Lady Starlight and Special Request. First appearing on a release as part of Radio Slave’s iconic ‘No Sleep’ series, ‘Grindhouse’ spawned multiple remixes from the likes of Dubfire, Danton Eeprom, Terrance Fixmer and Nic Fanciulli to become one of the biggest techno records since its original release. To commemorate this fact, Len Faki has produced two different reinterpretations in the first of four heavyweight remix packages.

“I didn’t plan to go back to Grindhouse. It’s a monster of a record and undoubtedly the biggest release we’ve had on the label, but after 10 years it seems right to revisit the track and also add some new versions from some of my favourite techno producers." – Radio Slave With Danton Eeprom’s vocal resonating throughout, Faki’s first remix features crunchy snares, ominous chords and shuffling effects before piercing synths come into effect in the latter half. Meanwhile, the second version rumbles forward with its undulating bassline, soaring atmospherics and echoing elements to round up two solid productions exemplary of the Figure founder’s seasoned abilities in the studio.

After bursting onto the scene in late 2017, Hyperloop makes his Drumcode debut with Green Velvet in toe. 

Followers of Truesoul will be clued up on the quality one can expect from Hyperloop. Last October he marked the label’s 100th with ‘In The Loop’, a superb three-tracker that signalled his arrival on the scene and highlighted a stunning year for the label. As 2018 picks up pace, Hyperloop returns with a tougher follow up for Drumcode. 

His ‘Mentalizm’ EP is a classy example of his versatility, a trio of original works, accompanied by two DJ tools. Beginning on a menacing tip, ‘In Your Mind (Reflections)’ is a low-end brew of industrial stabs, eerie melodies and subterranean vocals. ‘S-Sound’ is his collaboration with Chicago legend Green Velvet and is a percussive masterstroke of loops and drum riffs which drive the eight-minute track with all the puffing ferocity of a steam train. ‘Spring on the Battlefield’ is the perfect contrasting accompaniment, as a warm rush of strings covers a bed of intricate analogue effects and stomping kicks.

Wir melden uns mit der #Triebton #Podcastreihe zurück und haben gleich ein richtiges Brett mit im Gepäck! 💪 Begrüßt in unseren Reihen einen Newcomer, der sehr talentiert ist und qualitativ guten #Livetekkno produziert: #Strumm. 

Mit 18 Jahren kaufte er sich sein erstes Equipment, um selber im Bereich Techno tätig zu sein. Er begann mit dem klassischen Vinyl auflegen, was er bis heute unter einem anderem Künstlernamen (David Said) oft praktiziert. Er gründete außerdem mit zwei DJ Kollegen das Leipziger Technokollektiv 'weissschwarz', dass ab und zu in Leipzigs alternativen Technoclubs zu finden ist. Im Sommer veranstalten die Jungs auch kleinere Open Airs im Raum Leipzig. 
Das Auflegen allein reichte ihm jedoch nicht. Unter dem Namen Strumm. spielte er mit seiner ersten Korg auf kleinen Open Airs und privaten Veranstaltungen. Mit seinem Know-How vom Klavier- und Schlagzeug spielen, konnte er dadurch schon früh das Publikum begeistern. Somit war der Grundstein gesetzt und die Motivation sehr hoch. Wenig später begann er mit seinem Kumpel und Newcomer KühlFrank das Projekt Schocktherapie, welches seither immer erfolgreicher wird.
Wir werden diesen Ausnahmekünstler weiterhin fördern, mit ihm Producings planen und auch einige Gigs versorgen. Herzlich Willkommen in der Triebton-Family! Und jetzt viel Spaß beim anhören, abfeiern und downloaden! 🔊💯
