Trinity has established herself as one of the Australia’s pre-eminent proponents of house and techno since entering the club fray over a decade ago. As a DJ and Live act, Trinity has forged a reputation as a perfectionist, playing all across Australia, in addition to sets in Europe at Harry Klein in Munich, and Tresor and Studio R in Berlin, where she currently resides.

Her music has been released on labels such as Moodmusic Records, Lucidflow and Manual / Cinematique. In March 2014 she finally released the first album 1000 Points of Light under her moniker Trinity & Beyond. This year will also see Trinity’s first solo releases with OOC Records and Night Time Drama.

We visited Trinity in Berlin and had chat about Australian techno scene, her music and why the grass is always greener on the other side.

Sintetizzatrice is the first recorded document of the collaboration between veteran DJ and producer Donato Dozzy and female vocalist Anna Caragnano. Through his solo work, and in his collaboration with Giuseppe Tilleci (Neel) as Voices from the Lake, Dozzy has achieved some of the most remarkable vistas contemporary electronic music has seen since the turn of this century. By removing himself from his areas of mastery to shift his focus on the voice, he has achieved a new peak with Sintetizzatrice. Over nine tracks, Dozzy works exclusively with the voice of Rome-based vocalist Anna Caragnano, with no other instruments. Heavy layering and effects processes are used to display an astoundingly versatile voice-centric vocabulary. Rarely can a record morph from R&B to kosmische, through traditional Italian folk music, to Fluxus styles and traditional chamber choir with no additional instrumentation. Just a singular, beautiful voice. The results are simply phenomenal. With the opening, "Introduzione," an immeasurable cosmic weight arrives and remains through the duration of the album. "Star Cloud" ascends with melancholy extended drones that evaporate concepts like time and being, rendering basic human perceptions void all the way through "Parallelo." "Parola" dances around the stereo field with dazing rhythms and melodies, while "Festa (A Mottola)" is an homage to the traditional music found in the rural region where, coincidentally, both Dozzy's mother and Caragnano were born and raised. The album's closing pieces "Love Without Sound" and "Conclusione" hit hard in a way to which no words can do justice. By fearlessly entering uncharted territories, Dozzy and Caragnano have made a collaboration which is truly experimental. Sintetizzatrice is a grand debut for Anna Caragnano and a fantastic twist for Donato Dozzy. Produced and mixed by Dozzy at Alaska Studio, Rome, in 2014. Mastered by Giuseppe Tilleci at EnissLab Studio, Rome. Transferred to tape by Pietro Micioni, Angelo Compagnoni, and Massimo Zuccaroli at Village Studio, Rome. ARA KOUFAX have worked together since bonding in high school, introducing their new project in 2014 with Brenda: a feature of Cutters Records' Oceans Apart compilation. Supported by the likes of Tim Sweeney and BBC Radio 1, Brenda paved way for the release of the pair’s eponymous EP: a three-track love letter to bubbling, textured electronic music from all corners of the globe.

Now, they return to Cutters Records to share ADULT CONCEPTS: a celebration of the year’s end and a snapshot of what can be expected of Ara Koufax in 2016.

Adult Concepts is the sound of coping mechanisms and the lure of quitting. Originally written as an introduction to the duos’s live show, the release’s titular track emerged from rehearsals in a sunburnt, claustrophobic apartment. At its core, Adult Concepts is an exercise in building full, driving house music from a bedrock of noise: a hangover of Spacemen 3 worship and lack of restraint.

The EP’s second track, Makers, is propelled by a buoyant, chugging rhythm section - nodding with love to Omar S, Motor City Drum Ensemble and the coming of warmer weather. Standing as a tonal counterpoint to Adult Concepts, the b-side fluctuates in intensity: embracing the quiet and chaotic in equal measure.

After the Pruitt Igoe E.P, Kangding Ray returns with his third album for raster-noton, pushing further his explorations on the edge of digital and analog sounds. With OR, Kangding Ray continues to blur the borders between experimental and bass music, and brings his signature sound to another level, somewhere at the darkest fringe of club culture.
With the massive metallic beats of « athem », the frightening distorded waves of « Mojave », the elevated groove of « Odd Sympathy », the modulated guitar walls of « Leavaila Scheme », or the low-bitrate Everest of « La Belle », KR creates deep atmospheres, loaded with echoes of collapsing economies, dysfunctional political systems, and corporate alienation.In an abstract manner, OR depicts the desillusions of modern civilizations, while initiating a positive reflection on crisis as a creative state.
OR (« gold » in french), as the only chemical element that seems to keep its value for eternity, refers to the cult of endless consumption and the absurdity of fluctuating currency valuations, while in english, as a logical operator or grammatical conjunction, OR represents the possibility of another choice, an « inclusive disjunction » which suggests that there might be another answer, a different path to follow.
Noticeable inputs have been provided by Ben Frost, who composed a keyboard line for « Or », Rose Tizane Merrill who lend her voice to the anarchist poem « Monsters », and Magne Mostue who wrote the words and sang on « Coracoid Process » as well as the vocal version of the prophetic electronic mantra « Pruitt Igoe ».

born and raised in the north-west of germany 
rhauder was fascinated by music from an early age. 
the short distance to the dutch border enabled him 
to listen to all kinds of music since the netherlands 
had a much more  diverse radio program than 
germany in those days.
older friends introduced him to reggae, dub, 
hip-hop and early  industrial music to further 
shape his interest.
but it were tapes from frankfurt with 
clubnight-shows  held by sven väth that 
brought techno and house to his attention 
in the early 90s and suddenly everything 
fell into place.
these tapes made him start to dj electronic 
music and  also paved the way to buy the 
first pieces of equipment. 
after a 2 year stop in münster he decided 
to go to berlin where he lives and produces 
eversince.
