Symbiotic Act

The idea that the Moon is not perfectly smooth goes back to at least 2500 years, when Democritus asserted that the Moon's "lofty mountains and hollow valleys" were the cause of it's markings. Lunar mapping became systematic in the late 18th century and it wasn't until 1959 that the first photographs of the far side of the Moon were transmitted from the Soviet spacecraft Luna 3. Space Scavengers draw inspiration from Selenography, the topography of the Moon, for their latest album, to be released in two parts. Chapter one is dedicated to the bright & serene, mesmerizing Near Side of our natural satellite, Selene.

Bio:
Tadik is a Persian delicacy. Its something the family will fight over at the dinner table as there's never enough to go around. It's the most irresistible part of a daily ritual such as family dinner and in this, the most simple reminder of what makes us human. Aggression is also kindness. Darkness is also warm. Loss often means the absence of something you desire right through to your heritage. As crusty rice will tell you, beauty is not always so apparent at first sight, sometimes you have to experience it to realise why it belongs in your life forever.

The name "Pororoca" is rooted in the indigenous Tupi language, where it describes a big tidal wave in the Amazon River and can be translated as “great noise”. This is a good metaphor for Jan and Timo’s approach on this album, where everything is about the sounds themselves without being limited to genre-specific standards. Apart from their explorations of the psytrance universe they both share a love for jazz-influenced world music with tribal rhythms and experimental compositions. This passion results in an eclectic collection of songs, each with its own taste and story, molded into a full-length experience with plenty of guest features. Music that makes you drift away, just to catch you up again at the right time and leave you smiling in the end; welcome to the Opposite Orchestra! Written and produced by Pororoca and friends. Naturaiz - Full Set Recording

Collection of recordings on January 10th 2011 during the Georgia winter storm. Various sleds, ice breaking, ice creaking, icy tension cracks, and heavy snow crunches/impacts. All sounds recorded at 24-bit 96khz with the Neumann RSM 191 A-S M-S Stereo Shotgun Microphone System and Sound Devices 702 Digital Recorder. Two Aquarian audio H2a-XLR hydrophones used for the frozen water drainage pipe recording.

Rhizome is the alter-ego of Youssef El Idrissi, a multidisciplinary artist and cultural engineer that uses his art as a gateway to to raise counsciousness by getting into the subconscious and putting seeds that will grow horizontally in the minds and hearts to open us up to the verticality of the Holy Being; in fact, "rhizome has no beginning or end; it is always in the middle, between things, interbeing, intermezzo."
