For two years running, Polish talent Mizar B has made unforgettable contributions to our annual "Only Silk" compilation series. On this year's "Only Silk 04," Max Flyant featured Mizar B's triumphant "Behind That Door" near the end of his continuous mix, to climactic effect. For our latest single, we are thrilled to share a full-length version of Mizar B's original mix, alongside brand new interpretations by celebrated Silk veterans Aeron Aether and Blugazer.

The original version centers on a deep, yet buoyant rhythm section, hypnotic arp line, and lush, after-hours soundscape. A variety of mellifluous themes begin to seep into the mix, including a gorgeous piano theme, and, just as memorable, a gorgeous vocal hook. In the main breakdown, the blissful piano and vocals take center stage, paving the way for a groovy and emotive drop.

American veteran Blugazer offers a dreamlike interpretation, which descends into even deeper terrain than the original. Gorgeous, brain-tickling atmospheric effects permeate his sonic canvas, while subtly hypnotic variations on the original melodies carry the midrange of his composition. After a short respite in the main break, the gentle crescendo of the many atmospheric layers continues onward, allowing the song's soothing arrangement to completely envelop the listener.

Beloved Hungarian veteran Aeron Aether, who remains our label's director of audio mastering, makes his first artistic appearance on our imprint in years; needless to say, we are overjoyed to welcome him back. His remix fittingly is in the niche of progressive breaks, a genre to which he has contributed enormously (since 2008) and has truly helped to define. In the early going, the adrenalin-fueled bassline and beats pack a tremendous punch; at the quarter turn, Aether's (signature) symphony of emotive atmospheric effects make a cinematic entrance. An unconventional, yet exhilarating lead synth cuts through the mix soon thereafter. In the latter half of the composition, these awe-inspiring elements unite, creating a soundscape that is both haunting and rapturous.

Shingo Nakamura's recent contribution, "Always," proved to be a fan favorite of the first quarter of this year. In an effort to do justice to the Tokyo-based sensation's breathtaking single, we've recruited two beloved veterans on remix detail: Latvian duo Blood Groove & Kikis and Hungarian artist Aeron Aether.

Capable of composing a wide variety of electronic subgenres, Blood Groove & Kikis, in their glorious interpretation of "Always," have called upon disco-flavored melodic progressive house as their chosen medium of artistic expression. Mellifluous arpeggios and a celestial lead synth highlight a euphoric (if not hallucinogenic) intro. The layered themes build suspense, as the song makes its way to the main breakdown. At that juncture, we are finally treated to some of Shingo's original instrumental and vocal motifs, yet it's Blood Groove & Kikis' infectious and truly blissful themes that continue to steal the show. The song's final minutes offer a riveting climax for the dancefloor-inclined.

Continuing a comeback that began last year (courtesy of a standout remix of Mizar B's "Behind That Door"), Aeron Aether delivers an unforgettable take on "Always"; much to our delight, he employs a style that he is credited with helping to pioneer: progressive breaks. A cinematic, beat-less introduction evocatively sets the stage for the arrival of the rhythm, which is at once hard-hitting and graceful. Soon thereafter, a stunning variation on the lead melody cuts through the mix, while rousing strings patiently crescendo in the background. In the main break, Aether's rich soundscape, a veritable electronic symphony, prepares the listeners for the song's thrilling culmination.

Aeron Aether, celebrated veteran composer and longstanding mastering engineer for our imprint, has released dozens of beloved singles and remixes in his illustrious career, including collaborations with the likes of Matt Darey and Mango. Ten years in the making, his debut album, "Landscapes & Dimensions," finds the Hungarian virtuoso in peak form. A champion of various shades of house and trance, as well as a pioneer of the melodic progressive breaks genre, Aeron continues to test the boundaries of sound design, all the while showcasing his unique brand of forward-thinking, cinematic, and emotive electronic music.

Aeron's eclectic, yet consistently beautiful (if not ethereal) debut album comprises over a dozen extraordinary tracks, including four standout vocal numbers with Simon Latham, Sean Darin, Sebastian, and Krister Linder. Other album collaborators include Bobalino, Retroid, and fellow resident sensation Terry Da Libra, who lends production support to the album's breathtaking first single, "Hope Unchained." The album intro and outro cuts, the mystical and gorgeous "Florescence" and "Syntharsia," prove to be veritable scores to untitled films, and outside-the-box, acoustic-meets-electronic numbers like "Summaer On" and "Baranya" explore Aeron's interest in more primitive, world-music influenced instrumentation. Of course, Aeron's passion for breaks remains stronger than ever, and, on that front, he proudly showcases a few of this finest examples of the genre, including the album's second single, "Falling," and the most obvious homage, "Mind Driver." Needless to say, it is our extraordinary honor to share the debut album of Aeron Aether, a masterful musician, consummate professional, and true gentleman.
