Hyro The Hero is a modern-day rock star. A product of hip-hop, punk, and heavy-rock fusion, the Houston-bred artist leans into his influences boldly, creating a sound that is all his. It is at its most progressive on his new mixtape Kids Against the Monsters, a nuanced piece of reflective storytelling that paints the picture of frustration, fear, and anger at the current state of the world. With perceptive lyrics and aggressive instrumentals, the project channels the truth-telling of old school rap and the emotional rawness of 90s grunge. Hyro has received critical praise from the likes of BBC, Afropunk, and Alt Press, solidifying him as the type of artist that grabs listeners across cultures and brings them together for a movement. With this new project, that movement calls for all the “Kids” to face their monsters in the same spirit that all of Hyro’s music encapsulates – a celebration of the human experience, however flawed and ugly it may be.

I am rooted as a Hip Hop DJ, that is where the majoriy of my DJ passion is. However, due to alot of the negative overtones in todays Hip Hop, I decided to spend my advancement in DJ'n by playin a genre of muisc that is spirutally uplifiting, that music being Drum And Bass or D-N-B. I am also an unsigned music Producer, Audio Engineer, and musical Artist. My recording service is called Delta-Myxx Inc. Again my music of interest is primarily Hip Hop, but when I create my own tracks I like the fusion of Heavy Metal with Rap (Rap Rock). I chose the Artist name "MyxxoPlyxx" for several reasons. Its catchy, The Myxx refres to DJ'n and audio recording and the Plyxx refers to the use of computer technology to achieve my audio desires. Furthermore, I always liked the sound and spelling by use of only consonants of the DC Comic's character named "Mxyzptlk". I also refer to my self as an "Audio Painter". My recording philosophy is "Ears Don't Lie. People Do."TM. I am more interested in musical creation than image.
