In Between Spaces...

Rhoneil is an experimental musician, producer, and artist, as well as, a mentor, and educator. She has released three full-length albums and has toured her work throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. She is the director of InvisibleFriends, a center for creativity and wellbeing, that aims to work in tandem with the web of life. 

She composes in collaboration with the rhythms of nature and the voices of the invisibles. She weaves together field recordings, harp, paired down electronic drums, and layered vocals. She has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards. Rhoneil is a life-long learner, studying earth-based ritual, contemporary shamanism, taoist philosophy, holistic counselling, and ecofeminism on an ongoing basis with elders and educators from around the world. ORIGINAL Citation (Oct 2014): Rosetta’s Plasma Consortium (RPC) has uncovered a mysterious ‘song’ that Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is singing into space. The comet seems to be emitting a ‘song’ in the form of oscillations in the magnetic field in the comet’s environment. It is being sung at 40-50 millihertz, far below human hearing, which typically picks up sound between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. To make the music audible to the human ear, the frequencies have been increased in this recording.
