This set was performed on April 19 together with my witchy sis Waves of Pleasure in honor of the first intentional LSD trip in history by Albert Hofmann, a Swiss Chemist, who discovered the substance accidentally in 1938. April 19 is now widely known as "Bicycle Day", because as Albert began to feel LSD's effects, he tried to ride to the safety of his home on his bike. Inspired by his contribution to the psychedelic community, we wove recordings of Albert into a mix of psychedelic house music.

you seek the shimmer and groove of 1970s Turkish psychedelia and dub/funk! Imagine, if you will, the Bosphorus shimmering under a sun the color of melted copper, a breeze carrying the scent of spices and the distant echo of a saz electrified.

Picture Istanbul's smoky cafes, where the air hums not just with conversation, but with the nascent energy of a generation reaching for new sounds. The traditional melodies, the ancient scales, they begin to bend, to stretch, to embrace the electric pulse that washes in from the West.

The bağlama, that soulful stringed heart of Anatolia, finds itself plugged in, its voice amplified, distorted, soaring through reverb-drenched spaces. The darbuka's rhythmic heartbeat, once grounding folk dances, now syncopates with a funky swagger, a groove that compels the hips to sway in new, unexpected ways.

Imagine the guitarists, their fingers dancing across fretboards, channeling the spirit of Hendrix and Clapton, but infusing it with the melancholic beauty of the East. Wah pedals weep like lonely shepherds, fuzz tones growl like the city's restless spirit, and the tremolo shimmers like heat haze over the plains.

The organs, oh, the organs! They swirl and cascade, painting sonic tapestries that blend the mystical with the modern. Think of the swirling Hammond, the Farfisa's insistent buzz, weaving through the tapestry of sound like the calls of muezzins echoing across the rooftops, now laced with a distinctly psychedelic edge.

Nothing more to add, really... except As for whatever went down on the 8th of March at the Kascheme in Sisyphos for Gerda’s Nicht-Geburtstag — it remains a mystery of Rave-Aerobic, a fantastic athletic crew, absolutely freaky ravers, some smooth @silksessions, incredible Sisy-ducklings, and a strict “there’s-no-such-thing-as-too-crowded” policy.

The set you put on suddenly brings you out of rhythm, but getting up to skip the track is no longer an option.

We have been scouting for the perfect Sunday morning sets for quite a while already and while "Eigentlich heissen wir Klaus" & "Mattmosphere" have been steady suppliers of them for us, we also developed the idea of asking befriended artists to record one hour of music, to which they like to stay in bed with a loved one.

It's an intimate ask, but most of them said yes.

For Cuddle Cast #32 we asked Berlin based @ektoplast to record a set for us and he created a beautiful and relaxing journey for us.
