To celebrate 20 years of building Labyrinths, we have decided to release one set from each of the last ten years. I've chosen ten timeless moments that both document the history of the event and provide a historical snapshot of underground electronic music over the past ten years.

We have chosen a broad range--from closing techno sets, to morning ambient sets, to experimental sets to close the night. Each set represents a different side of the event. Taken together, they present a portrait of a decade of music.

The Labyrinthの20周年を記念して、過去10年間を振り返り、それぞれの年からひとつのミックスをピックアップすることにしました。イベントの歴史を記録すると同時に、過去10年間のアンダーグラウンドエレクトロニックミュージックの歴史的なスナップショットを提供します。今聞いても色褪せない、タイムレスな極上のミックスをお楽しみください。

テクノのクロージングセットから、朝のアンビエントセット、そして夜を締めくくるエクスペリメンタルセットまで幅広いセレクトですが、どのセットもThe Labyrinthの欠かせない側面を表しており、ここ10年におけるエレクトロニック ミュージックの全容とも言えるでしょう。

Musically speaking, deep techno is the kind of dub that's an approximate aural recreation of the effect that the music has on the brain. The result is a haunting & tripped out experience where music acts as background music on purpose. It seldom tries to adventure into new territory, because its main purpose is to be placid and deeply soothing but also moving. Its mesmerizing & minimal sounds can create a placid effect i.e. adjective of a person not easily upset or excited. A recording of my live set at Gehør Listening Bar · 19/09/25

Recording started a little late, so the first ~20 first minutes are missing — thankfully I was reminded to hit that elusive record button. Thanks, Anaïs 🙏

The set is a concoction of released & unreleased tracks and recorded hardware jams, repurposed live in Traktor.
Performed using NI X1 MK3 / Z1 / 2×F1, with deep control over stems, loops, effects, and the T4 drum machine.

All tracks are, as always, original Unknown Cause productions.

Big thanks to the Gehør crew for having me, and to everyone who came to listen and dance.

DJ since '92, making music in '94, played live techno with a friend as PointAlpha from '96 thru '99 across NY, PA & OH. 
This machine music session theory is the way of RhythmDial techno.
My older music was made as owen202 / owend202 / owenthesoyboy before dedicating a true space in time as RhythmDial.
