Ron tambien trabaja en la importante disqueria Academy Records de Brooklyn.  Nos conocimos en el Honcho Campout Festival en 2019 donde compartimos line up y el dj set de Ron de aquella noche fue realmente inolvidable. Aqui nos entrega un mix cargado de dubby electro, euphoric acid, breakbeat house, ebm disco y texturas tribales caprichosas para un colorido Fun Fun trip de una hora!

For the 18th entry in the Fun Fun Mix series, we present Ron Like Hell, the Brooklyn based dj and co-founder of Wrecked, a NYC based music first queer dance party. Ron is also the buyer for Academy Records Brooklyn. He has dj'ed Cocktail d'Amore often on the main floor as Wrecked and its side room Cosmic Hole in Berlin, plus Whole Festival (DE), Bucharest (RO), Stockholm (SE), Oslo (NO), Paris (FR) and CDMX. Throughout the USA, he has pleased dancefloors at Honey Soundsystem, San Diego's Bouquet and Spotlight LA, Men's Room in Chicago, Club Toilet and Suck It! in Detroit and the beloved Honcho festival known as Honcho Campout where we met him in 2019. While Ron continues to learn music production and practice his guitar, he has put together a mix of dubby electro, euphoric acid, breakbeat house, ebm disco and whimsical tribal textures for a colorful one hour Fun Fun trip!

Fun Fun Mix 18 - Ron Like Hell

As usual in good tradition now here at Trushmix. Cato Canari is back  with another new years mix! Deep, tech, trance, emotional, techno and the harder sounds, surprising like we always get from the Tokyo based Norwegian underground man. Always on point!
A more subtle and darker leaning party oriented mix. Somehow a reflection of this past weird and off year. But there is light in the tunnel! We keep it rolling and we keep it positive!

Again as last years reminder for this year to come as well.
Hope it will be a way better year for everybody. And as always let's keep peace and unity in mind, respect each other and let the good vibes take over for 2021! 100% and more!

For more than three decades, native Londoner and true DJ's DJ, Jaye Ward, has been one of the key figures in the capital’s underground electronic music scene. During the ‘90s Jaye was often found behind the decks at Fabric’s legendary WANG parties, Golden in Stoke on Trent, and she held a residency at London’s sadly defunct END. Still going strong to this day (when there are no global pandemics getting in the way) Jaye is often called upon by many of London and Europe’s hottest clubbing destinations and festivals, including KALA, Love International, and Field Maneuvers.

Dancefloors aside, Jaye is also the host of the excellent ‘Magical Real’ show on Netil Radio, from which she broadcasts a monthly dose of all things dub, disco, psychedelic, Balearic, and more.

As a longtime friend of the shop, we reached out to Jaye to see if she would be interested in putting together a mix for us. The result is a walloping two-hour recording, packed with an eclectic collection of gems and rarities from the likes of This Mortal Coil, Sterac, Donato Dozzy, Chris Carter, Niagara, Shackleton, and more.

Off The Record Mix Series 19: Jaye Ward

This week's Rhythmic Culture podcast is all about "one hour and seven minutes of groovers, mostly old-school house and techno tunes period 1988-1991" as Peter Mitterer, better known as DJ Fett Burger describes his mix. The Norwegian artist and Sex Tags co-founder grew up in the sleepy coastal town of Moss with brother and fellow DJ Sotofett, about an hour’s drive from the capital city of Oslo. In that isolation, as a young man, he was already looking for as many ways as possible to express himself: in art, zines and yes, also in DIY soirees.

The mix is exactly the way we know and love DJ Fett Burger for – a drive through hot, unique and enigmatic pumpers making you yearn for the dancefloor.
