As the Romanian DJ closed out the room while Ricardo Villalobos was warming up in Room One, it was one of those nights where time had become transient. His set was strikingly strong and held such a firm vibe in the room we asked him to give us an impromptu extended performance – ending long after the room was due to close. With this night still firmly etched in our memories even a year later, we got in touch with Cosmin to unlock his set for everyone to hear. 

Speaking to us via email, Cosmin told us: 

“Room Two in fabric is one of my favourite places to play. The energy and the sound are always at peak levels, and the team is the loveliest around. That night I was on closing duties, and as I thought things were going to wind down, the place just filled up again and I was asked to keep playing. I loved every second of it as none of it was planned, and just locked into the crowd and kept going with the vibe. Hope this recording gives you a glimpse into that special morning.”

Cosmin TRG returns to Room Two to headline a bill of leftfield techno in Room Two this Friday for our first fabric Presents, joined by Oliver Ho showcasing his Broken English Club project and Samuel Kerridge’s industrialised live set.

Coachella was my very first festival I ever attended. That first night I saw Daft Punk Live and in that moment I decided I didn't want to be a Hip Hop DJ anymore and that my true calling was DJing House Music. From 2006-2010 Coachella was all I knew of the festival world. To me it was the best weekend of the year, every year. The Do LaB was always my favorite stage at Coachella because I thought of it as a safe haven for the freakiest people at the festival. It wasn't until 2011 that my friend dragged me to The Do Lab's Lightning In A Bottle Festival that my entire world was flipped upside down again. This whole time I had been broing down at Coachella, there was a community of freaks and weirdos thriving just an hour from my house. These were my people and I had found my new home. While having an epiphany moment of love on the dance floor, a woman looked at me and said, "Honey you need to go to Burning Man". And the rest is history...

The Do LaB ultimately led me to the life I live now. Without The Do LaB there would be no Desert Hearts and my life would probably be very different now. Being able to come full circle and play The Do LaB at Coachella in front of all my friends and family with the Desert Hearts Crew was a dream come true. I hope you enjoy the set!

In 2016, DJ BORING, sent shockwaves through the underground when his track ‘Winona’ appeared on the iconic Slav Youtube channel. The track, comprised of simple, melodramatic chords, a syncopated 909 groove, and a sampled Winona Ryder interview, not only changed the landscape of house music but seemed to define dance music for a new generation. Since then, DJ BORING’s relocation from Melbourne to London has earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting artists of this generation. DJ BORING’s abilities as an artist are beyond simply being able to write clever melodies and stomping rhythms: his unique talent lies in knowing when to pull back on a dancefloor or when to go all-in.
