I’m T’yane — a music lover from Mozambique, currently based in Melbourne.

This selection weaves together Afrotech sounds shaped by moments that live between sunsets and late nights. Inspired by time spent both on the dance floor and behind the decks, where rhythm, mood and energy collide.

A special shout out to Freddy da Stupid, Sky White and 40D — friends from back home whose music features in this mix. All incredibly talented artists, and this is my way of showing love and appreciation for their sound and craft.

Here, he bends time and space through psychedelic trance, tribal hypnotics, ethno-downtempo, and progressive melodies. 

It’s less a set and more a journey through altered states, where every transition pulses with intention and exploration.

We are Rhythm Scape, a Melbourne-based collective inspired by Southern African sounds and the wider spectrum of African House music. Our members and DJs celebrate freedom, culture, love, and identity through rhythms that break stereotypes and push boundaries.

At our core, Rhythm Scape is a space for POC DJs to express themselves without limits — unapologetically authentic, experimental, and deeply rooted in heritage. We stand for liberation, togetherness, and the belief that rhythm is a universal language that unites people.

We strive to create inclusive spaces where everyone feels safe to move, connect, and belong, no matter their background, orientation, or story.

Through our events and monthly SoundCloud mixes, we aim to distill the essence of African House — music full of dance, emotion, and warmth. Our mixes are crafted not only for the dancefloor but also for those moments when you feel alone or distant, offering connection through sound anytime, anywhere.

Here at Rhythm Scape, we take House and Techno off the beaten path, introducing and celebrating African House music in Melbourne and beyond.

Yerodin, known by his stage name Frenzie, was born and brought up in Maputo (Mozambique) and now is based in Pune (India). His first encounter with music creation was at 12 years old through Hip-Hop & Rap, where he began writing and recording rhymes and eventually developed into a bedroom beat Producer.

In 2012, Yerodin  learned the craft of DJing under the moniker 'Frenzie' and started playing for High School and House parties. By 2016 he decided to move to Pune where he had the opportunity to showcase his skills at venues such as The High Spirits, Euriska, etc. He also had the chance to play alongside big international and Indian artists like: Patrice Baumel, Sequ3l, Kohra, Bullzeye, Color Ray, Calm Chor and many more.

Fast forward a few years, Frenzie is still shaping his mentality and skills, as well as his ears in order to bring out the best from his enthusiasm in underground music. Known for splendid and versatile delivery of groovy vibrations, Frenzie's sets are structured by cutting-edge tunes of Deep Tech, Progressive House and Melodic Techno blended with some minimal dub ethnic grooves, as well as afro-tribal & shamanic sounds and vocals.
