La porta della grotta è socchiusa. Un clave asciutto incontra spazzole calde. I fiati respirano, poi basso e congas si incastrano. Niente fretta. I passi trovano il tempo. Lo spazio si allarga ma resta vicino. Voci e Rhodes lampeggiano come segni ai bordi. La band suona accanto, tu stai tra le linee.

Dopo il primo giro, conga e ride alzano il polso. 100 diventa 106, poi 110. Tutto rimane fluido. Piccole dissolvenze, strade lunghe. Nessun trucco. Solo spazio per muoversi. Le punte degli ottoni aprono coni di luce, il flauto stende una seconda traccia. Il basso resta avanti, al centro, affidabile. Ogni passaggio è un cenno, ogni nuovo strato una mano sulla schiena.

Nel mezzo spinge la percussione. I piedi scorrono. Il bacino prende il conteggio. 116 diventa 120. Il groove porta senza pressione. Il latin-jazz diventa danza, l’house diventa respiro. Poco prima della fine arriva il bordo: riff più chiari, batterie più strette, uno sguardo netto in avanti. Poi uno stop pulito. Non una rottura. Un segno. Da qui riparte il mix principale.

Calypso’s Cave è l’assaggio: tinte blue-latin, energia jazz-dance, stereo caldo, aria tra i colpi. Dentro resta quiete. Fuori scorre.
