Minha homenagem a duas das principais referências musicais na minha vida, junto a tantos músicos maravilhosos nesta gravação. Obrigado a todos os participantes! O clima incrivelmente mineiro desse tema me despertou uma vontade de acentuar a viagem do trenzinho pelas montanhas, com uma percussão de tambores mineiros, pandeiros e guizos evocando tanto- a locomotiva quanto a tradição do congado, manifestação cultural afro-brasileira das Geraes.


My tribute to two central influences in my musical life, with so many special partners in this recording. Thank you all, guys! The incredibly Minas Gerais atmosphere of this theme made me want to accentuate the train's journey through the mountains, with a folcloric percussion of Minas Gerais in drums, tambourines and bells evoking both the locomotive and the tradition of congado, an Afro-Brazilian cultural manifestation of my homeland.

Ao escutar pela primeira vez esta canção, em sua gravação original, a harmonia me chamou a atenção, com os acordes de cordas soltas, de sonoridades incomuns e criativas, além de tensões incomuns em acordes e canções do universo pop da música. Mérito total do grande músico John Mayer, um instrumentista excelente.

When listening to this song for the first time, in its original recording, the harmony caught my attention, with open string chords, unusual and creative sounds, as well as unusual tensions in chords and songs from the pop universe of music. Total credit to the great musician John Mayer, an excellent instrumentalist.

A harmonia vocal dessa canção é sublime. Sempre emotiva e relevante na obra genial da dupla Lennon & McCartney. Nessa releitura, usei uma guitarra com um timbre especial, ampliando o espaço de cada nota sem cair no usual delay. Os arpejos de contrabaixo e os contracantos do acordeom emolduram a linda harmonia vocal do Grupo Triar (Zeca Rodrigues, Nana Mendonça e Jo Malena).

The vocal harmony of this song is sublime. Always emotional and relevant in the brilliant work of Lennon & McCartney. In this reinterpretation, I used a guitar with a special timbre, expanding the space of each note without falling into the usual delay. The double bass arpeggios and the accordion countermelodies frame the beautiful vocal harmony of Grupo Triar (Zeca Rodrigues, Nana Mendonça and Jo Malena).

Uma das minhas canções favoritas do canadense Neil Young. Melodia linda sobre uma sequência simples de acordes. O acordeom costura a trama de violão aço e viola caipira, nesta singela versão instrumental.

One of my favorite songs by Canadian Neil Young. Beautiful melody over a simple sequence of chords. The accordion weaves the web of steel-strings guitar and teh brazilian 10-strings guitar, in this simple instrumental version.

Desde criança, eu já admirava a música dos Beatles, e essa relação seguiu na carreira solo de cada um deles. O Beatle que mais me cativou foi o George Harrison, talvez pela sua doce introspecção, talvez pelo instrumento, e sobretudo, pelas lindas melodias em canções imortais como Something, While My Guitar Gently Weeps e Here Comes The Sun, dentre outras tantas. Nesse projeto escolhemos a canção See Yourself para homenagear o ídolo.


Ever since I was a child, I have admired the music of the Beatles, and this relationship has continued into each of their solo careers. The Beatle who captivated me the most was George Harrison, perhaps because of his sweet introspection, perhaps because of his instrument, and above all, because of the beautiful melodies in immortal songs such as Something, While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Here Comes The Sun, among many others. In this project, we chose the song See Yourself to pay tribute to our idol.
