The group, One O'Clock Jump, based out Cape Cod, Massachusetts, was a jazz/swing vocal group that performed together throughout much of the 1980's.

All five members were natives of Boston, New Bedford and Cape Cod.

The group performed original vocal arrangements of big band orchestrations and other vocal group charts by well noted jazz and swing groups from the 1930's through the 50's, including Lambert Hendricks and Ross, The Modernaires, The Andrew Sisters, The Mill Brothers and many more.

Using harmony, vocalese and scat soloing as featured highlights in many of the group's songs, One O'Clock Jump had a unique sound enjoyed by jazz and swing audiences on both East and West Coasts.

One O'clock Jump performed together for almost 9 years before disbanding, playing concerts, festivals and club dates with a number of renown big bands including The Count Basie Orchestra, The Buddy Rich Orchestra, The Artie Shaw Band and more......

Boston Herald says: "It's a contemporary musical flashback to the 1930's and 40's. A carbon microphone with a 20-20,000HZ. The sound would make Glenn Miller smile. Influenced by Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, John Pizzarelli, Brazilian singer/guitarist Ricardo Baldacci leads his drumless trio, backed up with piano and double bass. He sings and plays the classic repertoire of the Great American Song Book and has been called as "The reference for Swing Jazz music in Brazil" (Jornal A Tarde, Salvador / BA) .
In just over four years as a professional, Baldacci collects memorable presentations. In Made In New York Jazz Festival (USA), held at a packed Tribeca Arts Center he shared stage with legends Lenny White and Randy Brecker. Baldacci also had a standing ovation performance at the Municipal Theatre of Asuncion, during the XV International Jazz Festival of Paraguay. While in Sweden, he played for a huge crowd of dancers, in the 30th. Anniversary of Herrang Dance Camp Festival (the most traditional Lindy Hop Festival), and won the Swing Battle Award. In Brazil, Ricardo Baldacci made many shows in several festivals and was the main attraction of famous venues like Terraco Italia and L'Hotel Porto Bay.
The latest work of Ricardo Baldacci is, Brothers in Swing (2015), a tribute to the Pizzarelli family. On this album, the artist, plays and sings with iconic Swing Jazz names like, the American guitar legend 89 years-old, Bucky Pizzarelli; his son, Martin Pizzarelli (bass); and Australian pianist Konrad Paszkudzki. Recorded during two sessions in Queens, NY, by the experienced Bill Moss, one of the most celebrated jazz sound engineers, the CD takes place in an atmosphere of spontaneity and camaraderie and has the swing as its trademark.
In May 2014, Ricardo Baldacci was invited by drummer Lenny White (Chick Corea, Return to Forever), and had the chance to be one of the featuring artists of The Made In New York Jazz Festival. Baldacci was presented by the local American press (Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce Journal) as "a fabulous talent of the jazz world" and "one of the brightest stars in the scene."
In 2013, Ricardo produced and released 'Tain't what you do, it's the way that you do it', his first album with national and international distribution . The recording had the precious collaboration of Swedish vocal trio, The Hebbe Sister, and also featured the award-winning virtuoso pianist, Hercules Gomes and Ricardo Ramos on acoustic bass. This release was broadcasted on Radio Eldorado (Jazzmasters and The Jazz Face) and USP FM (Jazz Caravan). The CD also received positive reviews in newspapers like O Globo (Rio de Janeiro / RJ), A Tarde (Salvador / BA) and Hoje em Dia (Belo Horizonte / MG).
In a busy 2012, Ricardo Baldacci Trio made several shows in São Paulo and Minas Gerais, in addition to feature the lineup of the XV International Jazz Festival of Asuncion / Paraguay and also the 30th. Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden, presented by the artistic direction of the Carling Family. The singer / guitarist also established himself as one of the exponents of the international Lindy Hop scene, as he also performed in Argentina (LHAIF 2013), and Brazil’s BSOE 12-14(Brazil Swing Out Extravaganza).
Ricardo has played alongside some great artists and jazz talents like legend Bucky Pizzarelli (guitar /USA), Randy Brecker (trumpet / USA), Lenny White (drums / USA), Martin Pizzarelli (bass / USA), Konrad Paszkudzki (piano / AUS), Omar Izar (harmonica / Brazil), Max Carling (clarinet / SWE), Chester Whitmore (tap / USA), Lee Fish (drums / USA), Judi D. (voice / USA), Pablo Elorza ( bass / ARG), Evgeny Lebedev (piano / RUS), The Hebbe Sisters (voice / SWE), Juan Klappenbach (sax / ARG), Lina Stalyte (voice / LIT), Roque Monsalve (guitar / ARG), Michel Leme (guitar / BRA), Alex Molleff (sax / RUS), Joseval Paes (guitar / BRA).
Nowadays, the work of Ricardo Baldacci has increasingly gaining ground in national and international markets; singer / guitarist keeps swinging and entertains the audience of Sao Paulo and other places in the world.
