たいせつ Taisetsu / PICG [クールドジ男子 Cool Doji Danshi ED 2]

(ENG) It's been a while since I created a melody like Frescos. During the early hours of the morning, before going to sleep, I decided to play with some electric piano sounds. To my surprise, the brilliant sound of that ancient instrument used by so many rock and jazz bands of the past grew louder, creating a hypnotic melody. And as always, I recorded the improvisation.
Coming and going through simple but powerful harmonies, I pushed away sleep and entered a mirage. It was a walk through museums, galleries, churches full of works of art.
After recording the composition, I added the same duplicated melodic line to the computer, but now with the sound of a traditional acoustic piano. Both types of sounds produced a deep, harmonious piano tone.
When I finished editing the word Frescoes came to my mind. That was undoubtedly the name of the composition.

(PtBr) Há tempos que eu não criava uma melodia como a de Afrescos. Durante a madrugada, antes de dormir, resolvi brincar com alguns sons de piano elétrico. Para minha surpresa a sonoridade brilhante daquele instrumento antigo usado por tantas bandas de rock e jazz do passado foi se avolumando, criando uma melodia hipnótica. E como sempre fui gravando a improvisação.
Indo e vindo por harmonias simples mas poderosas fui afastando o sono e entrando em uma miragem. Era um passeio por museus, por galerias, por igrejas cheias de obras de arte.
Depois de gravar a composição adicionei no computador a mesma linha melódica duplicada, mas agora com o som de um Piano acústico tradicional. Os dois tipos de sons produziram um timbre de piano profundo e harmonioso.
Quando terminei a edição a palavra Afrescos surgiu em minha mente. Esse era sem dúvida o nome da composição.

Space Study - Particles

Sometimes we lose those we've loved the most. As I write this (in October/November 2023) it's beyond painful to witness the scenes of grief and loss countless others are experiencing in our world in wars, seemingly, without end - where the powerless always suffer the most. It makes any attempt to give voice to one's own personalised sense of loss seem self indulgent. But in the hope that one grief observed, though only a drop in an ocean, can add something to the pool of human sympathy at a time when it's so sorely needed - a song of farewell:

"And so the final scene
Where fancies all are slowly stripped away
Who knows what might have been
Had fate been kinder to our dreams
But no regrets - our hearts were true
And in the end it's all that matters
Old friend adieu - I'll wait for you
Somewhere beyond the blue"

each piece of music I record has a purpose, a reason for existing. When I try to record a new piece and there is no story behind it, it comes out flat. When there is a reason behind it the emotion is released. One area of my life is painful and hard to overcome is caused by my family. Family is supposed to love you and care if you are dead or alive. I don't thInk mine does. But whatever their reason is, that reason is based on a period of time we can't undo - and it is just a shot of time. Each of us goes through many phases and we change with every one. who we were as children - our education and relationships _ and our roles as parent, grandparents, and much more. we change constantly. If you don't try to know and understand the people you are connected to, you miss a lot. 

I am making a video to go with this. The title - Lest we Forget - will be filled with photographs of the childhood I shared with my sisters. I think it is important that we don't throw away parts of our lives because of whatever grudge they hold against me. That I do not understand. I have to learn to let this go, so this is my last attempt to communicate with them using part me that matters. It has taken my entire life too become who I am now. Who are they? They can throw this in the trash if they want, but at least I tried.
