La Cani is a Spanish multigenre DJ spreading wubs and broken beats in Berlin. Her obsession with UK garage first sparked her interest in DJing, and her sets have since evolved to blend jungle, drum & bass, breakbeat, reggaeton, baile funk, and electro. Lately, she's been deep in a dubstep phase, keeping the basslines heavy and the vibes fresh.

Local Underground RDG is pleased to present this new genre-defying mix from J Clarion. Moving through UK garage, 2step, Breakbeat, Dubstep, House and Drum & Bass, Joey curates a cohesive narrative whose primary motif suggests that "Love is the Answer." 

In this mix, Joey brings over two decades worth of experience to the tables.  His agile movement between genres, and the care and attention he's taken in selecting and programming these tracks, makes evident that his sincere contributions to Pennsylvania's dance music community are not efforts made in vain. For many, many years Joey has been sowing good seeds for dance music and we are proud to offer this bloom.

Darkside of the Drum [Vol002]

Here, the air is not meant for breathing, yet it carries a strange, haunting song—barely a whisper, more a memory of what once was. The ground itself feels as if it were made of shattered glass, fine particles shifting underfoot with every step, a soft sigh rising into the dead air.

In the distance, shapes loom like phantoms against the endless plain, rising from the dust with an unnatural grace. Tall, thin structures punctuate the landscape, as though the atmosphere itself has borne its own monuments—silent yet speaking in the language of the forgotten. They are not of stone or metal, nor anything familiar. Their surfaces catch what little light remains, reflecting nothing, absorbing everything, as if they’ve always been there, and yet… they shouldn’t be.

Bio:
A true creative, Ricco finds inspiration in music by exploring sounds through DJing and producing. Ricco is a passionate house music enthusiast with a focus on funky, deep, and rhythm-rich sounds that blend Latin, Tech and Afro influences. With almost 3 decades of djing under his belt, Ricco has held a handful of residencies in Vancouver, including Goodhousekeeping at Fortune Sound Club, La Discotech at Modern, Fast Life at Republic and Lotus Sound Lounge. Major Festival appearances include Basscoast Festival, Shambhala Music Festival and Valhalla Music Festival. Additionally, ricco has also played at some of Vancouver’s most notable music venues such as Beaumont Studios, Gorg-O-Mish, Open Studios, and the internationally acclaimed Commodore Ballroom. 

Direct support includes a laundry list of international acts such as Gene Farris, Claptone, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Sebastien Leger, Sandy Rivera, Justin Jay, Dennis Ferrer, Zombie Disco Squad, Metro Area, Cut Chemist, 
 Ardalan, Dam Swindle, J.Phlip, The Greenskeepers, Pillow Talk, Johnny Fiasco, Fashmob, DJ ILLO, The Funk Hunters, Jesse Bru, DJ Heather, Tony

Recently, Ricco has dipped his toes into producing, having produced, remixed and collaborated on over a dozen releases since his production journey began 2020. 

As comfortable behind the decks as he is behind the scenes, Ricco is actively involved in the music scene through event curation under the JK Gaultier brand, hosting Goodhousekeeping Radio on Bside Radio, a monthly residency (Cue Club at the Fox Cabaret), the JKG Mix Series, stage curating for Valhalla Music Festival and a committee member for the Junos Awards Underground Dance Single of the Year. 

The joy of seeing people from all walks of life on his dance floors is what keeps Ricco motivated; making someone’s day better through music, song and dance.
