The jheri curled G Perico is having a career year with his critically acclaimed album All Blue (“G Perico studied rap's legends, now he's ready to become one" - The FADER). Jay Worthy, the A$AP Yams approved visionary behind LNDN DRGS and collabs with The Alchemist and P On The Boards, has been killing it with his modern take on classic funk samples. Fool's Gold put out Cardo's first instrumental EP in 2012, knowing he was a heir to DJ Quik's groove with a futuristic bop all his own; since then, Cardo has crafted platinum records for Travi$ Scott, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar, and he brings G-Worthy full circle as a Fool's Gold rap release like none other. Recorded in 2 days in LA, the project itself is authentic gangster rap from the City of Angels; G Perico from South Central and the Bompton-based Jay Worthy, mixed together with Cardo's distinct, smoothed-out melodic production, makes for one of the best west coast connections in years.
